I figured this would be a good idea for a possible sticky?!?!

Everyone should post up what dilution ratios they believe works well per application.

One example is, if you have a favorite product that you use as detail spray and clay lubricant and dilute them in specific amounts, then post it up and I'll add it to the list.

Can I make a suggestion to DirtyWeRx?

I think it would be very helpful for you the thread starter(if you would like this stickied) to play an active role in updating your post with whatever everyone else posts for dilutions. Also adding a cut and pasted "Notes" section on each product will help, and you can simply credit the forum member's name for that.

This way, people don't need to look through 11teen billionty pages of dilutions to find a suggestion for a product

Do it alphabetically from each manufacturer and product / Part No. from there

This is a great thread! I will definitely use this for reference. Here's my little contribution:

    CG Grime Reaper
5~6:1 tires, engine degreaser, wheel wells, generally anything nasty. It's not paint friendly so that's all I use it for

Hey Mike. Thanks for the suggestions. I was planning on updating first post whenever people started posting up some dilutions. I'll try to update it as quickly and often as I can.

Also, Im not sure what you mean by adding a cut and pasted notes section on each product. I haven't attempted to make a "sticky-intended" thread before. should I just list the names of people who contributed at the end of the entire first post, or write their name in a smaller font next to each product they gave input on?

*** I updated it taking in your advice. LMK if thats how you think I should go about giving credit to contributors***

You got it Seth. Just switch your definitions for X and Y. I think a majority of the community goes X:Y = Water : Chem

For the personal suggestions I would quote any custom mixes but leave the "label" ones as n

For example, Optimum Power Clean's Label states 3:1 for just about everything - so you wouldn't need to credit someone unless you felt it was needed. A custom dilution "I found X:Y works best on Z material or situation" would be cool though.

Meguiar's APC , APC+ , Super Degreaser and Wheel Brightener labels all call for 10:1 for light duty, 4:1 for heavier cleaning needs.

EDIT: After talking with Meguiar's this is how they were engineered to perform, basically formulated in strength for these dilutions. So it's not just a "well lets dilute it this way" kind of thing. :)
