Thanks for posting this ! Looks great for other things but I am not sure 3250 lumens is enough.. I need to see what 2 500w halogen lights produce in lumens.. Price is pretty high isnt it? Maybe LED's should be that high ? Am I just high ?? Dan F
Yes $200 is a lot. It's flourescent and not LEDs Dan. Halogens produce lower lumens than flourescent and LEDs. There has to be a better setup and cheaper than this :shead: IMO it's not bright enough.
I guess I'm a minority but halogens are generally too bright for my tastes. The fact that this is a light bar is a huge bonus as I will be able to see light bend evenly and uniformly when hitting the finish.
Do you mean too hot or too bright? Bright is what we want w/o the heat unless it's cold outside. The plus is that LEDs and flourescents produce less heat.
You need halogens to pick up certain defects, I have T5 high output lights for general lighting, the halogens, LED flashlight, Infratech and of course "Mother nature" sunlight. With all these diferent lighting choices of ambient light I never get "Suprised" by pulling a car outside and going Cr**p...................... I just wish I had a better halogen light set up to buy as the stuff in the chain stores(From China) falls apart with the quickness.
I knew those Pro Defender lights were flourescent, thanks. LED's would be great provided they dont cast that blue light like I saw them do this past Christmas on some people's christmas lights. I will always like the 4 - 500w each, Halogens I have and they seem to pick up most defects. Still have both LED and Halogen Brinkman lights, and occasionally, a little sunlight up here where the trees are giants and the people have equally sized ego's.. Dan F
I don't know how crafty you are Bob but here http://www.autopiaforums.com/forums...ment/38456-my-halogen-light-tower-wheels.html
I've admired your setup for awhile now. Thanks for the input Bob. Thanks for sharing Hamza. That's something I need.
