So I have a gas pressure washer that was given to me and I wanted to ask the community if there is a standard for water pressure into the unit. Where I live has really low water pressure because of the age of the main water line to the house from the street. I don't want to ruin the pressure washer by providing a very low input pressure. Should I go with an electric model? Do they need less input pressure?? If I had to guess I would say I have less than 40# of pressure at the hose end. Thanks for any input. wow that is low. im no expert, but to be honest i think the flow rate is whats important. as long as the machine is getting more than what it is rated to output i think you will not have a problem. My machine is only 1.6 GPM so its not very high but i dont know what kind of machine your planning on using. some gas units are up to 4 GPM. Find out what your machine outputs and then make sure your input Gallons per minute are higher.
so time the water output at the end of your hose and make sure that you get at least 2.5 gallons out of it in that 60 second time span
So I decided to just keep the gas unit. I went to home depot and bought a gun, wand, quick connects, tips and the foam attachment that has been seen before on here. I played with it for a few minutes tonight. The gun works great, has a solid feel to it. The foam attachment works well, I sprayed the garage siding with it. I can't wait to clean a car now with this, I'm sure I have been missing out with getting crap rinsed off the car before washing. Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk
Ha. I am still on my quest. I just cannot get the Karcher at the moment due to all the complaints about flimsy plastic parts breaking.
yea my first machine was a karcher and it broke. The briggs and stratton is a great unit. its usually on sale for around 250 shipped.
