I looking to buy a pressure washer, induction or axial motor guys? Leaning towards electric around 2000 psi. Karcher. I know they have mixed reviews, but I just can't justify the cost of a Cam Spray. I think the model is 3.6 or 3.7 can't remember. Anyne with some input? Thanks

thatsa high psi for cleaning a car around 1500 is good and the psi dosent clean the car the gpm does so find one around 2.0 if possible

i have a K 5.68M and it has yet to break after 2 uses, will possibly be hauling it over to oldcracker's place this weekend to use it too. Its 2000psi and is plentiful, it comes with the super high pressure wand, the adjustable wand, and a skimpy foam cannon attachment. Costco reviews has been bad but i believe its because people use it, then store it with excessive water inside the system which will kill it. You also have to start it in the correct order else it doesnt work as I got stuck the 2nd time without the manual. Need to plug in, reset, then hose in, then turn on (something like that).
Otherwise, i bought the foam lance attachment which is not as expensive as the cam spray one but is still 1/2 the price of the pressure washer, looking forward to use it next week with some RG Snow Foam!.
on the side note, i think the 3.6/3.7 are 1600PSI/1800PSI or so

Let me know how you like the RG Snowfoam. I got two bottles of it but have yet to use any cuz it's too damn cold..

will do, Ken advised me to throw in an ounce or 2 of my fav. shampoo as well to foam it up. Hopefully the weekend will be sunny else ill be foaming in the rain LOL
hell ONR up the foam cannon might yield wonders inside the garage....

Induction motor should fair better than universal motors. I would read the manual carefully and keep it away from cold temperatures to prolong its life.

Which foam lance did you pick up locally?

he doesn't sell it on the store, he ordered it in for me after calling him and telling him that the karcher attachment was crap and offered to order me the proper one (or the one that real men use cuz the karcher one be like sissy) :).

Oh ok I was like wow... I never knew that haha. I have been looking at the one from PW Mall its like $70 but you still need to purchase the attachments it sucks that foam lances are pricy, I still need to get a pressure washer first. I am still trying to decide which to get. I was looking at the Karcher 5.85M and the K3.690 because I can get that one locally at Walmart and it at leasts has a 1.5 GPM rating.

Kyshiro, the models I'm looking at are k5.68 and k5.85. 1.4 and 1.5 gpm. Anybody have these models that could fill me in on performance?

Phil, I really like the Kranzle! But it's triple the price. I haven't seen you do a review on that thing? Are you not going to be selling the Cam Spray anymore? And also which do you like better, the Cam Spray or the Kranzle? The thing I don't like about the Cam Spray is that you have to buy or make a cart for it. Not very mobile. Has to be picked up and moved around. But other than that it's a rock solid machine! What I don't understand about higher end PW is the majority of the parts are all plastic? Do you find that if the Kranzle is knocked over or dropped it will break easier than the machines that are not wrapped in a plastic case? Thanks guys. Any sales on PW coming in the future?

i know you have heard this but it is all about the gpm and the quality of the pump. i've had too many electric cheapies (not that all electric models are cheap) blow apart, and finally ponied up and bought a more expensive gas powered model last year.

imo, some of the cheaper models just don't have the gpm flow to wash the dirt away after knocking it off.

Rfinkle, ya I understand GPM. The models I'm looking at are between 1.4-2.0gpm. Pumps are more important imo. Also pump materials are just as important, Stainless steel being the strongest. Ceramic is strong but brittle. Brass manifolds seem to be going away these days. If I had the money the Kranzle would be the one I would buy. Neat and clean and stores everything onboard. Not real sure about all that plastic though.

I love the machine both of them...The cam spray worked well the con about it was it was heavy and for mobile work its not the best option, also its 20 amp if your mobile most customers will not have a 20 amp outlet. If you trip the fuse you have to ask the customer to reset it, not all that good, also no cart and short hose.

The kranzle is less power by 50 psi, but the cart, the hose length, 15 amp was a win for me. I can't image anyone dropping the kranzle, if anything the cover will crack but that can be replaced.

I hope that helps, hit me up for pricing...

i was under the impression that ceramic > stainless, although I may be wrong.

Rfinkle, ceramic and SS are not the same thing. SS a mixture of alloys, usually containing Chormium (10-11%). Ceramic is heat treating process that make parts very strong and light weight. But the drawback is that parts are suseptable to flaws in the manufacturing process which cause weaknesses which will result over time. Also parts become very brittle if disturbed the wrong way. Ceramic parts are also more expensive, making you think there better but thats not the case. The reason they are used is for other reasons usually weight. Lighter the weight the smaller the moving mass= using a smaller motor/pump. That in turn is good and bad. Smaller motors/pumps draw less power(15a over20a). So there is a difference. Your right Phil, 20a is a killer for mobility!
