i saw somebody post about something about a pressure washer on a start up business kit and said 1500 psi is good. I walk in lowes and and on the diagram for pressure washers it said the highest you can go is 2500 psi, is this true?
i have a 3500 psi but it isnt necessary for detailing. 2500 is plenty. the amount of water flow is more important. just pull the trigger with it pointed away from delicate parts.
Optimum for cleaning cars is around 1200 - 1500psi and 2gpm. I wouldn't go more than 2000psi for cleaning cars but get as close to 2gpm as you can.The more water you flow, the more cleaning power you have.
i have been using a 2550 psi pressure washer since day one of me starting up my business. Not so much anymore though since i usually use my foam gun. The gas ones are a little loud and bulky but work great. As previous stated the Gallons Per Minute is more important hen pressure. I would go electric. If you plan to use it a ton like every single day it might be good to invest in a industrial one otherwise just get something like a Karcher depending on your budget of course.
