We should have these in by end of next week, pending no holiday delays. Windscreen Clear is a glass cleaner. We have no sprayer on it so we could continue selling it as a concentrate. This was the only way we could bring it back. Features: * Cuts through grime incl sap, bugs, nicotine filming * Safe on tint, plastic headlights, paint, chrome, rubber 1z einszett Windscreen Clear 500 ml
Phil, will you be carrying this 1Z glass cleaner. From the description it's even more concentrated with a dilution ratio of 1:6. "Windscreen Clear Concentrated Glass Cleaner Item Id: 921415 Windscreen Clear is a concentrated glass cleaner for windshields, mirrors, plastic headlight lenses and windscreens. Windscreen Clear easily removes dirt, grease, wax and silicone leaving a streak-free finish. Ammonia-free formula will not harm paintwork, chrome, rubber, or window tint. Environmentally friendly formula is propellant-free. Dilution of 1:6 yields 16 gallons of highly effective glass cleaner. 2.6 Gallons (10 liters)" It looks like I'm having a problem with the image. I see it in the preview but I don't see it once posted. View attachment 1897
1:6 applies for the 10 liter because it's more concentrated than the 500 ml. The 500 ml is concentrated but not as concentrated as the 10 liter. Therefore, with the 500 ml we state dilute 1:1. But keep in mind that we must state this to meet VOC regulation requirements for Cal, Mass, Texas, NY, NJ and other midwest and N.E. states. This means that if you're in any of those states than you need to dilute... at least we have to tell you do so. If you don't live in any of those states than you can just use straight but use sparingly because it's still concentrated. Apply too much and you'll get build up. It really doesn't take a whole lot to get really good results. For best results, dilute with distilled water. Hope this helps
Thanks Phil, I see it on your site, great price. Michael, thanks for the expalanation of the "regulations". I have been looking into glass cleaners and will probably try this one. At a dilution ratio of 1:6 it comes out to be very economical and much less expensive than other popular glass cleaners. It says it is safe for plastic headlight lenses but is it also safe for clear interior plastics which may be different and less durable than exterior plastics? Will it remove glass sealers such as RainX, Aquapel. Adams's Glass Cleaner states it will not remove their glass sealant? Thanks.
Yes, interior plastic too which is a lexan so it's fine. Can be used on plastic convertible windows, enameled and painted surfaces, chrome and rubber surfaces. Also safe on tint. Not sure about RainX and Aquapel. WC can remove silicone and I'm certain RainX relies on silicone to repel. So it probably will remove it with use. I think Aquapel uses some kind of polymer so WC may not be able to remove it. Best thing to do is check with those manufacturers.
Michael is this because of size of container? Or is this because of amount of chemical in larger volume?
More concentrated (less water used in the formulation) in the 10 liter to make it more economical for detailers who tend to use a lot more product than the end user. The consumer 500 ml is formulated to be used straight (still considered concentrated by comparable standards) but we had to add the 1:1 dilution on the directions to appease VOC regulations for consumer products. In the end, if you were to compare both products after diluted to the specified amounts, you have the exact same product, cleaning ability, etc. Hope this helps. So... on a personal note, my mom is really happy that we've brought the 500 ml back
Thats good news Michael. I had my mother cleaning dusty surface with detail spray concentrate, I brought her some to use cuz she always uses windex which I think is bad for alot of surface
Yep! And while my family uses all the products to clean their cars, my mom is the vocal one when she can't get her hands on the WC or Cockpit Premium. ha!
Phil, you had such a nice price on the glass cleaner. Now the price is back up to full retail in less than 24h, what happened? I didn't have enough time to put an order together.
