i've had powerlock on my GTI for almost 3 months now i would say. keep in mind, i had only ONE layer, which was put on by hand, relatively quickly. so im sure i got uneven coverage. also, my car hadnt been washed the entire time. dont get on my balls about it please, i just have very little free time, and its very clean now. anyways, here's the beading. these pics are after wash too.

Looks like it's holding up well. I miss my GTI, sold it for a TDI wagon. Darn babies!

yeah it held up better than i thought, even through the abuse of not being washed regularly. i topped with another layer, so this will be the conclusion of my test of one later. and there's nothing wrong with a TDI wagon man. some of the new TDI jetta sportwagons are NICE.

:) Yeah the wife is driving it, her commute is 75 miles round trip so it makes sense for her to drive it. I'm driving her 03 Mazda Protege 5.

    I 'll get another GTI again, I've had 2 98 GTI VR6's, an 02 GTI 337, an 08 GTI, a 91 Corrado G60 and now the 2010 Sportwagen TDI. :)

    :applause2:

I probably miss this one most...(photos taken after Zaino Z2 applied) it drove like a bat out of hell with a Revo flash, turbo back exhaust, FK Coilovers, etc.

    I can't find good pics of my 08 and I don't have any of my 98s. Here's a snap of my 91 G60.

how does it sheet water though? Waxes bead and that's how you tell if its still there, sealants sheet water... so how does it sheet?

That's news to me. My Zaino has always beaded like a freak, though as soon as I get over 5 MPH it flies off.. I guess that's the sheeting action, but only with some 'help' from wind.

its sheets well. the powerlock beads up just as good as any nuba too i would say. we just got some rain a couple days ago after putting on another layer and the beading it nice and tight. and once i start driving the water runs right off of it.

Looks great Bill. I got 2 coats on my Dodge Ram and it sheets water great. Makes washing it a pleasure...

  10. Those are very nice beads not to have done anything in 3 months :applause:

Not bad. When's the last time you polished that, at the fall meet? I think it's time to strip and restart though.

Don't do it yet! Wait for the glaze and test that out. I'm going to try my best to ship it out tomorrow.

Looks pretty good Billy. I just tossed on BFWD on my car and I've only tried both BFWD and Menz PL and I think I'm liking the BFWD more. However, I think I'm going to get a hold of a small sample of PL and have at it again.
