A sad, sad day has arrived for me - the annual changing of the gaurds - summer wheels to winter wheels.

To help me and any others going through this tough time, I thought I would start a thread where we can all post pictures of our winter wheels...

    My summer set up

Since I had the wheel off I did a quickie clean up to the corners

    OEM wheels back on :-(

They are winter wheels but they still remain presentable – what do you take me for a savage?[IMG]

    Hopefully other will play along!

Yep. That was Saturday. It was pretty nasty on the roads but had to go 20miles to pick my wife up at the airport in this:

LOL I wanted to run something others would not do. Opti Coat plus Wolf's Rim Shield make any winter set up a win though.

Unfortunately my parents don't believe in winter tires which sucks because on the newer accords the OEM's suck but on my dad's van Yokohamas have a lot of traction.

Don't believe in them o_O! That's brutal. Winter tires are a safety investment the way I see them. They do wonders! The best all season will not come close to what a entry level winter tire has to offer.

Where did you get the plastic tray that you're using under the tire?

Since I live in Texas and we don't have to switch, I thought I'd post pictures of my mum's 335i winter setup she just purchased and had installed:

My winter setup is the same as my summer setup for obvious reasons.

Some really nice winter wheels - I wouldn't have expected anything less from the DB bretheren.

GF: that is just a lid that went to a retired rubber maid bin. If I am doing an extreme corner detail I bust out a little tray that will hold the liquids that fall off the suspension components.
