Portable Florescent Lighting

Has anyone used or using something like this?

This one uses ( 2 ) 45 watt bulbs that is supposed to equal 400 watts.

But I actualy do use them so pictures this, the bunch of lights in my garage then a bunch of tri pod lights around the vehicle :woo: :woo: can't have enough light hahahahahahaha

I currently only have two tri pod lights one is 1000W and the other one is a 500W...and they sure have come in handy :chris: :chris:

 

I believe my power company has to put another generator online when I am detailing. I use 2 portable halogens plus 2 that are wall mounted in addition to the fluorescents.

Didn't mean to sidetrack / hijack the thread... Those are cool looking lights, but I haven't used them nor do I know of anyone that has. Sorry, not much help.

I have never dealt with them I happened across them doing a search. I'm heading over to Menard's today because I have seen the same one or very similar one there. I cant remember the price though. The Menard's one looked well built. I'll let you know what I find.

No worries. I was looking at the them mainly to save on energy costs.

 

Quick update, found a place for 93.00 + shipping. I think the 166.00 shipped is the highest price I have come across.

I think those lights would work perfect when I'm detailing outside my garage, that along with my 1000W lights would ork great :thumb:

Hey guys DO NOT buy from that online vendor. I just received mine and both lights were busted. They dont pack the lights, they just ship them in their original box.

Ive sent for an RMA and have still to receive it. So WATCH OUT!

Ive read fluorescent lights are bad for seeing paint imperfections. Might want to do some research on that before purchasing these.

 

A fluorescent light was the only light missing from my arsenal, so.... yea...

 

Sorry guys for any mis information I may have given. The one I bought from Menards also had a broken bulb right out of the box. I called the mfg. direct and they told me they would send me 2 replacement bulbs. That was on 12-31. The light will be going back to where I bought it today. It drives me crazy when companies don't do the right thing.
