Great video phil. I have a story about that very car. I was looking after it at a trade show over the course of a few days recently. It was for Porsche club Great Britain. The car has done about 3500 miles right now, and it's been driven to death. This gt2 Rs is a pre-production prototype. What this means is all the press drive it hard then it's scrapped. Yeh you heard me, that 2RS will be scrapped in a matter of months. It has a build number: 0 of 500. Just like 10 others dotted around the world. A gt2 Rs itself, we already know costs a fortune. But, the parts sold individually would generate double the money pretty much! But, when it is scrapped everything will do with it. Carbon brakes, carbon wing, engine, the lot will be crushed!! Crazy!
I know about the crushing etc. sometimes they keep one or two for the museum hopefully that's the case. my buddy had a pre production e39 m5. white with bmw sport seats (alcantara) its was the only one of its kind in the world. pretty sweet car.
Its an ungodly, beautiful masterpiece, i'm fortunate enough to take care of one. Love the video Phil! http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum/show-shine/30339-2011-porsche-911-gt2-rs-premier.htm
