Recently completed @ the shop, a very rough Carrera S. All the issues you could want RIDS,holograms, fallout, and dried out trim. Wheels blew out a new clay bar!! with all the embedded brake dust Examples of the marred finish Right rear quarter would be my test spot for the correction game plan/before Taped off for 50/50 pics After wool compounding After foam pad compounding Correction was acheived, now I could move to finer polishing steps The bumper had been re-sprayed and badly, severe shrinkage High speed wool rotary compounding(3000 rpm) was needed Slowly coming back to life Hood 50/50 after wool pad correction Dry and dirty wheel wells Besides normal cleaning and degreasing I also had to let loose with the steamer Looking a little better...... Polishing with the PC Roofline before After Bird poop etch/before After 3000 grit sanding and correction Interior Had my buddy Chris from Diablo Dent take out a really hard to repair dent on the wheel arch crease Almost ready to go outside for sun pics Final wipe down with DI water
That looks freakin' awesome Bob but please don't use the word shrinkage when talking to men! LOL That thing was a mess.
What did you use on the trim, Bob? I have had a couple P cars that even after two hits of TRV, Were still faded.
Well five applications of GI TRV.............. and the last one you need to not wipe it down but just apply it and leave it alone.
Looks great Bob as always. Had some serious issues with this one but like always came through at the end with another amazing save and detail!
Not really a close up pic, but the client was VERY happy as he could not remember which side had the dent!!!!.
Its a myth that polishing with a pc takes sooooooo much longer than a rotary. With the right pad/polish combo, it only adds a little time to the process. I use my pc quite a bit these days.
