So due to the unfortunate events that has happened to my GLK, I had to wash it today as apparently the bubble tea ate away my SV Shield over night and i had sugar all over the paint work. So I still didnt want to break out the PC, but I have also found that despite having a hard clear coat, I did get scratches from where the bubble tea landed (found it after an intensive foam/wash down). So it does conclude the my GLK has so many darn scratches that it will take more than a day to fix. I was thinking of simply using a glaze to fill the scratches. I had a choice of my many few glazes like DS Wetglaze2.0, CG Blacklight (I swear this is a glaze as it has been proven to hide marring on oldcracker's mini), and.... I think i need to move onto my paint cleaners. But nonetheless, since we just applied blacklight on oldcracker's mini yesterday, I decided that I will use something different. As I was too lazy to break out the PC, I crossed out using DS Wetglaze 2.0. So my lazy ass decided to use 1z Polish Wax which I won. And this was probably the best decision I have made in a very long time! I had to use more product than 1z Hart Glanz but application was real smooth and it hid enough of my scratches to have em not bother me anymore until warm weather. I believe it hid more scratches than blacklight did as well. Now I have my GLK in my garage allowing it to cure and then I'm going to go over with the 1z Hart Glanz (always go back to it). But yeah, Polish Wax is awesome as a paint cleaner + sealant. 1z has so many underrated products! I'd take pictures but I was tired lol.
The Einszett line in general is wow! But sounds like the polish wax really worked out for you kyoshiro. And damn bubble tea on your GLK.... was there tapioca in it? lol
nope it had some coffee jelly tho. It may of actually been a coffee mix as opposed to purely bubble tea but for sure it had some cane sugar prob (had black sugar marks) and sure left a big mess on my chrome trim.
Love all 1Z products. Price point cant be beaten, and the Polish Wax does a great job taking care of the minor imperfections. I sometimes layer the Glanz wax. Makes my paint pop like crazy.

I had my GLK parked nearby my place for 30 minutes because of road block and when I got back the whole left side was covered, so I guess we can say its vandalism with a projectile cup.
any advantage of a liquid wax over a Paste? other then ease of application, does durability suffer? I would not think so but just curious.
PolishWax is exactly what it says: both a polish and a wax. It has polishing abrasives but they are very fine and have the density for cleaning the paint rather than "mechanically" correcting any blemishes. The "Wax" part is primarily carnabua with a little bit of polymer wax to sustain some durability. But by itself, PolishWax only has about 30-45 days of longevity on a daily driver. Of course varies further depending on weather. But this is typical of most carnaubas - short lifespan. It really doesn't matter whether it's in a paste or liquid form. It depends more or less on how much polymer waxes are mixed into the formula to help with durability. Very few carnauba waxes don't have polymer waxes blended in and therefore they tend to have a very short life span. Also note that some manufacturers also blend in a lot of silicone oil to provide an initial high gloss and some water resistance highlighted by beading. But silicone is very short lived. It's found in PolishWax, Paint Polish, Extra and in Glanz Wax but the amount is minimal. It's used mainly to make the product easy to apply and buff off. Some initial gloss but not reliant on it. If you're looking for long-term durability, always top off with Glanz Wax. That will give you months of protection. It's a pure wax. No polishing or cleaning ability at all. If any of these apply to you, use PolishWax: - Like to polish and wax every 1-2 months - Have a garage queen and don't really need the long-term durability of Glanz Wax - A customer wants a quick "wash and wax" job - Your paint finish is brand new without blemishes, scratches, etc - Want to get rid of cone or rubber marks on paint and wheels - You don't have time to correct the paint and want to disguise clouding, holograms or faint swirl marks - The paint finish has been corrected and need a final step.
Im using Menzerna sealing wax, its a decent product, but not very much "pop" I own two suburbans that are daily drivers and don't wish to spend alot of time and effort keeping them fully detailed, but I do want protection, looks and the one step of menz sealing wax is nice to appy every once in a while. But it would be nice to have a little more "cut" if you know what i mean. Im lazy when it comes to these trucks. What would you say is the durability? I dont mind layering........I like using liquid products on my suburbans due to excessive panel real estate. thanks for the info, ill have to pick some up on my next buying spree from phil.
Yes they do. It all starts off easy enough with a little Cockpit Premium or a little GlanzWax. But trust me once, you try any 1Z product things may get a little out of control.LOL And this isnt all of my 1Z stash just the stuff that was easy to grab for a quick pic.
Kilo, PolishWax is not going to have any cutting ability. Just a straight cleaner. Sure if you pair it up with a polishing pad you might get some polishing effect but the abrasives in it aren't made to correct at all. For some polishing effect, you'll need to go to the next step up, Paint Polish. It has mild abrasives that in combination with a cotton towel or a polishing pad, can reduce swirl marks, heavier oxidation, water spots and build up grime. Paint Polish is also really easy to apply and wipe off. Finally, top off whichever polish you choose with Glanz Wax for the long-term durability you're looking for.
