My friend has an 01 Audi A6 and the rear view mirror has some marks and smears on it that looks like someone previously tried to clean it with something way too aggressive and stained it. Can anyone recommend a product that is safe to use on the rear view. I dont want to go experimenting on it since the car is not mine. I was thinking of trying the same steps used on paint (Megs 105, 203, then 85RD all by hand) but i have no idea if thats safe to do. -Shawn

I'd go 85rd with a mf cloth and do multiple hits instead of going for anything more aggressive.

Try Glass Science Glass Scrub. It works wonders for adhesive and stuff from dealer stickers and whatnot, really deep cleans the glass. It's a good product, but the Rain Clear can probably be left behind. Sealants do the job just fine.
