Anyone ever work on an RV? How different it working on the gelcoat then regular clear coat? You think it is to big of a job for a PC? I have been looking at Meguiars Marine/RV line and also some DG products seeing how I already have 501. Any info on polishing an RV will be greatly appreciated.

I actually have a 42' Class A booked in for next week. Wash and 2 coats of wax - 2 days. Does the RV actually need polishing or are you just putting some protection on it?

The biggest thing to remember with gelcoat is that it needs to be clean before applying any wax or sealant. If there is any oxidation, it can actually spread underneath your LSP. I would recommend an AIO and then follow up with another coat of wax or sealant if time permits. If after washing, the finish is in very good condition, go straight to your LSP. Using a pc should be ok, its light enough to use for hours on end, and you will. Check with the owner and make sure of the finish wether it is gelcoat, fiberglass or clearcoat. The Class A I am doing is an 03, but it has 7 coats of paint with clear. Its not gelcoat.
