I have a 170 mile a day round trip commute and my car takes a beating from the elements(tar, sap, pollen, bird bomb, etc) and I get tired of two or three step details every other time I add a layer of protection my daily driver and I was looking for a all in one that would take care of all the above mentioned problems and last more than a week. Will polish wax be a good choice for me?I have tried Klasse AIO and duragloss 101 and was not impressed as tiny bit of road tar alone kicked there ass when it came to removing it and I have used the poorboys stuff which cleans like heck( maybe a little to strong) but falls way short on any longevity.I am just looking for a balanced AIO? Thanks and any info on your product will be a help.
I am wanting to know the same thing and recently was thinking of getting the paste version of Meguiars cleaner wax sold at carquest. Does anyone know if Meg's cleaner wax will work for the OP and I?
The longest lasting AIO is from Zaino. Use it with an orange pad and apply a layer of FK1 #1000 - you will get looooooong protection.
In ideal conditions (ie. moderate temperatures/weather) and washing the car once a week PolishWax will last about 4-6 weeks. In addition to carnauba wax, it also contains some polymer wax to give it more durability and gloss. But this is not enough for the type of exposure your car experiences. In your case with the amount of driving you do (and factor in the type of climate you live in), you really need to go with a more durable wax. In this case, I would highly suggest polishing your car with PolishWax but applying Glanz Wax afterwards. Glanz will give you at least several months of durable protection. For an application time of no more than 45 minutes to do your entire car, it's well worth the time spent. You can treat your car with this regimen every 4-6 months. Hope this helps.
Thanks Michael for taking the time to answere my question and that sounds like a plan I can live with.
