Hi guys, previously i have tried to clear some light scratches by using my makita and AG SRP. Polish at about 600-900rpm but end up creating uniform light swirls. I manage to clear the swirls with AG paint renovator but the dusting is insane. (Guess i am the only one using AG pad/ polish) I am looking to try out different polishes and pad combo for, 1) AIO polish and pad for light swirls. 2) 2-3 step polish and pad combo for serious paint correction. What are the recommended combo you suggest apart from Menzerna polishes.(Men is damn ex in my country) Suggestions is deeply appriciated.
What polishes do you have available locally? I remember the pricing you gave me for the Menz in your area. It was insane.
I do have access to Meg, chemical guy, menz, optimum, finish kare, Jeffs Werkstatt (Lsp only). Some others that could grap it on the shelf are turtle wax, black magic, soft99. For the pads, we have ag pads, meg pads, lake country Wool pad, vc foam pad, ccs foam pads. That is all i could think of. Came to know about 1z polishes when in DB. Which polish and pad make a good AIO and paint correction combo?
you can't go wrong with optimum Polish with green CCS pads or poliseal with white or black ccs pads as AIO.
All the manufacturers you've listed are pretty good. I'm a bit concerned about how much you'd spend on polishes considering you mentioned that purchasing Menzerna is a killing. Are any of these brands comparable in pricing to the U.S. market?
Taking AutoGeek pricing as references, most of the prices cost 20- 30% more except for Menz, which cost 50-75% more. =(
Ah well you can pretty much stick with Meguiar's or Optimum then. If you can, try to get a hold of some 3M Perfect-It Ultrafine Machine Polish (06068). For pads, Meguiar's or LC shall do.
Singapore. I think i will try out the optimum polish, compound and hyper compound with lcc orange, white and black pad.
