I just tried Plexus plastic cleaner and protectant on my Ventureshield applied to my BMW M5. It was recommended on the Ventureshield web site. All I can say is WOW! Plexus goes on a little greasy, but wipes off clean with a microfiber and leaves nothing behind but a clear, super-smooth finish on the plastic. It seals all the micropores. When it stops raining here in Seattle (never) I will post some before/after photos. Run right out and get Plexus if you have or install 3M or Ventureshield. I bought the 14oz. can for $16 at my local marine supply store. :applause:
I'll have to try that this evening. Got a can last Friday and have used it on just about everything else, window tint, laptop screen, clear dash plastic, plastic grill on truck, headlights, bug shield, washer and drier doors, microwave door...
If you like Plexus you will like CG Clear Seal as well plus it is not a aerosol. I use to use Plexus on my PPF on my headlights then got Clear Seal and like it even more.
stop it! I'm resisting buying more stuff and have been trying to avoid CG's site. I used their mirror wet shine on my truck last weekend and really liked it. Really want to try the jetseal/petes53 combo.
haha, sorry , never-mind what I said Clear Seal is pure rubbish! Dont even think of buying it...it will make your PPF turn purple!
I used to use Plexus but found it to go opaque (yellowing) • PF1 TTR is an advanced cleaning agent for the surface of your clear bra. It attacks the marks and transfers at the micro-level to loosen up these particles so that it may be safely wiped off with a clean microfiber towel. It can be utilized on paint protection film with a clear coat or topcoat safely. Apply to a clean surface; spray on and allow for dwell for five seconds, wipe with a clean micro fibre towel. Repeat steps as required. • Zaino Z-CS Clear Seal or PF1 Crystalline - wipe on, and wipe off (WOWO) walk away, no buffing, just allow to air dry. Use on paint, glass, wheels, plastic, clear bra, or trim for the protection, durability, slickness, and gloss. All surfaces are protected against potentially damaging exposure to sun or ultra-violet light with UV inhibitors. Its easy for me to spend your money-:sorry:
Pleaxus is a no no on clear film. It makes the urethane yellow. Just look at the tip of the plexus nozzle...after some time, it'll turn yellow from the product. I usually just polish with a paint cleanser like Swissvax Cleaner Fluid and apply a spray wax like einszett or Swissvax Nano Express. I've just seen way too many films go bad over time because clients used plexus.
