Pinstripe tape? Use a hairdryer. Warm the tape and it will come right off.

If it is old and cracking I would use a 3M pinstripe removal wheel and then follow up with prep solvent to remove any left over adhesive. If it is new and still soft use a heat gun and just peel it off.

Warm it up with a heat gun / blowdryer and peel it off or use a plastic razor blade

Use the pinstripe wheel or a plastic razorblade, both work great. Then polish the area.

Isnt the chance of the paint, under the pinstripe, being un-faded an issue? Will polishing take care of any diference?

Some times the fading can be too severe. Most of the time the fading can be taken care of with a good paint reconditioning process.
