i might have a job tentatively lined up for a Ivory Pearl G35 coupe for this weekend. i woke up like any other day, thinking about LSP's of course, and wondering what i would do for protection on this car. im having what i would call "detailers block" and i cant decide what i would like to protect this car with, while at the same time give her a great wet look. im thinking multiple sealant coats and then topping it. i havent had a light colored or white car in quite some time, so im lost here. i've been on a strictly sealant kick lately, but for this one im willing to tag team for performance and looks. my go to for this kind of thing would typically be jetseal (2 coats at like 20-30 min each) and then topped with Onyx. i might wanna try something different, but probably stick with the jetseal. here are my choices:

    jetseal
    CG Blitz
    BH Autobalm
    FK1 Sealant sample
    Wolfgang DGPS sample
    Werkstatt AJT
    SV Onyx
    CG XXX
    Lusso Oro
    Colli 845
    Dodo Banana Armor sample
    Dodo Orange Crush Sample
    EDITS:
also have some 1Z Glanz (might be the metallic polish/wax...not sure)
    and Four Star Sealant

maybe jetseal x2 topped with Lusso would be better for an ivory pearl?

    suggesttions?

I was going to recommend the jetseal-lusso combo. I have that on my truck right now and it looks great. Weirdly, I decided to top it with Collinite 845 and I think it made it look even wetter.

Well seeing that you don't have Nu-Finish listed. I guess I would go with Jetseal :headbang:

Dodo Juice Banana or Orange Crush.

    thanks for your input.

yeah looks like im going to use jetseal as a base no matter what. just dont know what to top it with.

i would really like to try one of these out, but are the sample pots enough to get a whole car out of? i was also toying with the idea of applying a wax by hand, which would be good for either the orange crush or swissvax. any input on this?

The 4 star sealant is very good on white

I prefer using a foam applicator, as you can get 5-6 applications out of a sample pot with this, where using your hands will get you only 1 or 2.

thanks for that tidbit. looks like by hand is out of the question. which of the two would you recommend going with? im assuming they will both sit well over either jetseal or the four star polycharged?

If I was applying it with a sponge, I would go with the banana. They are both suppose to produce the same look, but the soft waxes are easier to apply by hand, while the hard makes it much easier to spread more thinly, making you stretch the product. You will not be disappointed with either though.

    thanks for the input.

so now im thinking i might do 2X Four Star topped with dodo banana armor.

its funny because i have always kept my LSP's very limited because i knew what i liked and what worked for me and stuck with it. but obviously i've given in lately and picked up a lot more lsps, most of which ive never used before.

I used the Prime/AJY combo on a white pearl Lexus the otherday, looked great.

I would say Jetseal x2 and Lusso Oro.

Glad to hear the recommendation came through, even if it is tentatively. I know it'll be in good hands :thumb:

depends on wheather you like softer or harder wax. Orange Crush is soft, and Banana Armor is hard.

Just use 2 coats of AJT. It will not mute any of the pearl the car has. Too bad you don't have Glasur, because that would be awesome on white. Trust me.

i might try out the banana armor and save the orange crush for when im feeling frisky and wanna do a by hand application.

yeah that was my initial thought, but i wanna try something different. ive been using exclusively sealants lately, and wanna really make this car pop. plus the AJT is a little tooooo easy sometimes. i feel like i wanna get into the LSP process this time a little.

Do 1 coat of AJT, wait 30 minutes, then apply Onyx. Wait a little while, then use the Gloss-It and do a final wipedown :D

    All that will = :D

i had considered using the autobalm, but ive used that a bunch lately as well. looking to switch it up and do multiple sealant coats topped with a nuba this time around.

so far im thinking either jetseal 2x topped with lusso

    or

Four Star 2X topped with banana armor
