Did they take out the classifieds for people selling camera equipment? I dont wanna buy on ebay because of camera abuse fears and resellers of broken items, and want to know that the camera was taken care of...i think POTN is a good soure for that, but when i went to see what was for sale, it appears to be gone? I dont know if i can learn all this DSLR crap so i really woudl like to buy a used starter camera....anyone know anything about this?
Hey Jordan, iirc, you have to be a member to look at the for sale section. Also look at fredmiranda.com POTN members have some great equipment for sale. I've bought and traded a few items on there and have had some great experiences. Kinda like here.
POTN is an awesome place to sell and buy stuff. i have sold over 40k worth of stuff on there and got a few things on there with no prob. Most poeple are stand up people on there. Are you looking to sell something or buy something?
Other good thing about POTN is most of the people just like we are about our cars are VERY meticulous. They take great care of their equipment and SOME over exaggerate defects. I once bought a camera and they guy said there was a scratch on the lens, but minor and did not affect IQ. When i got the camera i could barely find it, I had to look super hard and even then its still hard to see.
Some items go VERY quickly. Check out most posts advertising Speedlites and they're usually sold within minutes...
