So, over the weekend I went to the flea market just to pass some time and picked up a Pelican 1200 case for $10, new and with new foam, and thought it was a heck of a deal as they go for $35-40. I thought about putting wax in there but then came mind that the cases are water tight and almost air tight as humidity would not be able to get out very easily. Pelican recommends using those silica (?) packets in high humidity entertainments. So I was wondering if there is any issue with putting wax's in an environment like this. Prob a dumb question but don't want to put them in there and then have something go wrong. Inside the house were it would be opened and closed it would not be high humidity so do not think it would really create a issue of it being trapped in the case, I guess I would always take the o-ring out.

nice case. i could see someone using something like this for a big $$ wax, 3M sungun or other handheld light and or a PTG.

They have alot of sizes and have seen one person put Vintage in one of them. Heck I saw it for $10 and just got it because if I could not find anything to put into it I could sell it for 2x that price.

Thinking maybe putting SV Insignis and SV Cleaner Fluid in there maybe little something else if it fits.

I asked the guy if he had any more and said he will have to check so I may try to go this weekend and see if he had anymore.

Those Pelican cases are wicked, for $10 you should buy a bunch of them, that's darn cheap.

I've got a few of them and some waxes I store in the basement inside a Pelican case, haven't seen any issues with it...but keep in mind I keep the waxes in the basement

I think I should be fine, I am hoping, haha...they will not be open in really high humidity and I know myself and I wont go but a day or two without opening it up to take a look haha...

Yeah $10 is dirt cheap, I am hoping the guy has some more when I go back and will get as many as I can.
