Last time I was there the infamous green microfiber towels were out of stock and I was heartbroken. They have a new line in from Peak that has a bit smaller towel, by a few inches, but it is SOFT. It is baby blue and doesn't come with a silk edging but it is very thick (like a shag rag) and is $10. I think these are it actually, which is a steal if so. I just have Pep Boys gift cards so I picked some up.

kyle, have you tried the smaller peak waffle weave drying towels? they come in a pack of like ten i think, and they cant be bigger than 12x12 each. i could be wrong, but i picked up a pack of them a few weeks back for around 10 bucks, assorted colors. well either way, ive been using them as window cleaning towels and they rock. definitely check them out.

They are also blowing out their Autoglym stock (about 50%off Pep Boys pricing) and many other products are on clearance. I feel like Norm from Cheers when I walk in there. Thanks goodness I don't look like him.

Funny you mention that microfiber again. I actually found it two days ago at Pepboys and got it for $6 but it was the Peak Premium forrest green ultra plush 36 x 30 drying towel and used to today it works great and is very soft. It was the only one left this time but if they get more in I will get you one like I said I would Reflect:) I also picked up Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo and Conditoner for $5 it was on sale so I said what the hell might as well give it a go.

    Kilo,

Yeah they also carry Surf City Garage which has a really nice line. I'm still on the fence about their LSPs. They look really glossy but water beading/sheeting was weird. They carry a lot of Carrand stuff too under Autospa.

    Bill,

I'll definitely take a look at those towels. I've been using regular cotton towels and they work pretty well but I don't mind taking the plunge for 10 bucks. When the weather breaks I have your UG soap (and Rogers) sitting up in my closet.

    Rfinkle,

Didn't see a 50% off clearance when I was out today, do they have a coupon for it? Some times you can get really lucky and they have some nice printable coupons.

    Danny,

No need to grab me one, these are a pretty good replacement. A bit smaller but they feel a tad softer and the edges are the same. Thanks for thinking of me though! I plan on picking up another one or two of these if I like them and that'll make 6 Peak drying towels, 2 DD waffle weaves, and a couple Autospa/Amazing Dryer style. That's too much drying!

Take a look at the blue ones, they might be a bit softer. I can't remember exactly what the green ones felt like but the blue ones are really nice. I wish they had a silk edging but they'll do well I bet.

If you go on the SCG site they have a retailer locater that might help you out. It's a great OTC brand, definitely worth the drive.

My Pepboys takes clearance products from the shelves, and puts them onto a table with premarked pricing. I think it is about 50% off because the AGHD was $27.99, and the tire dressing I picked up was $5.xx.

They also had some Mothers and PPG stuff marked down also.

I'd say the green is about 25-30% larger.

Those are some serious steals. I would have picked up that HD wax just for the hell of it at that price.

Holy those prices are basically a steal....someone just starting out with detailing could easily stock up on that.
