Anybody use them after detailing the interior of your clients cars? I've been thinking about a few different things to add to the professional look and I think I am going to order up a box of 250 for $50 shipped. Which comes out to less than $0.50 per car in the end. That and lining the carpet underneath the floor mats with something along the lines of saran wrap to protect from moisture in the winter months.

    Any thoughts, comments?

I would get the adheisive ones if you are going for that professional look. To me, the paper ones are just cheap looking. Plus your customers can leave the plastic floor mats on for up to 30 days, great for the winter. So I guess you could offer paper for all the other seasons.

I used to love the idea of paper mats, until I started using them in my own car. I know they arent meant to be "driven" with, but even driving with them layed down for a day can become dangerous. The paper mats slip and slide all over the place, usually ending up wedged under the pedals. If you or your customer have wet shoes, or if the floor mats are still damp, it'll disintegrate the mat into a tore up shredded mess. Even if they do look nice, I'd rather have my customers safe.

Adhesive plastic is the way to go. It can get a little slippy if you or your customers get into the car with wet shoes, but at least the mat/plastic wont move. Much safer in my experiences, and they can even be left in place for months. I have had one car that the adhesive actually seperated from the mat and stuck to the carpet, but the plastic was installed in the car over an entire summer in extreme temperatures. I also love the adhesive plastic because you can still see a nice clean OEM floor mat underneath, and the decorative "lines" installed in them for a much cleaner look. Adhesive plastic is also a lot more expensive than the paper mats though.....
If you can afford to put paper mats in customers cars, it may be smart to spend a little more and get better results.

The plastic ones are exactly what I was thinking when I mentioned using saran wrap or something of that sort. They look so clean and so professional, the only problem is where do I get them and are they affordable?

I'd be very careful about using those adhesive plastic wrap floormats during the winter months. It could cause some havoc with wet shoes. Just something to think about.

Thats just a pic I pulled off google. The link you posted is pretty cheap, but just to note it is 2 mil's vs the standard 3 and even slightly thicker 4 mil.

The paper ones are kind of a rip off. 50 cents for basically a piece of paper I wish they were cheaper
