This was a referral from a forum member. I love these cars and was fun working on this one. Owner didn't want a paint correction detail, just a wash, clay, and sealant in prep for a car show on VERY short notice. Later this spring a full correction will be carried out. The tires would take some time as they had many years of old dressing built up but were looking much better as did the rest of the car at the end of the day. Nothing too crazy, just a cool ride looking a bit better now. Upon arrival Time to give the wheels a good cleaning with some Sonax Full Effect A little foaming action Old wax stripped off Years of tire dressing on top of tire dressing made for some nasty tires. Stoner's Tarminator, cotton towels (thrown away after), and some good elbow grease helped get it looking proper again. Two coats of Chemical Guys Blacklight was applied Finished pics. Again, not a correction detail, so there are still plenty of swirls. Next time around the owner wants to remove them. Thanks for looking!
Love the car, love the work you did, but hate the bigger taller tire combo, it makes it look not at all like the sportscar it was designed to be once. Thanks for the great work and the time to photograph and post up ! Dan F
Beautiful! This automobile was so far ahead of its time in 1971 and still exhibits styling seen into today's exotics. Thankfully, this one is not all jacked-up like so many have been. P.S. On a side note I love the undulating black fence!
Awesome car to drive if you can fit and your feet are the proper size ( think stalky Italian guy for best results), and amazing finish you've delivered. There's something about what this car actually is; if you don't know, it's difficult to describe... There are so many things wrong with them but they can be so right. Youre lucky to be working on such a nicely cared for model, my experience is with a basket case where nothing works right except the 550hp lump it has sitting behind you. again, fantastic results!
