Hello, My name is Piet and I like to wash cars. My boss bought a new truck and he wanted me to wash it, because I'm LIKE SOOOOOOOO good at washing cars! I found an old sponge on the street and wash it with Dawn because I like all the bubbles it creates. Real detailers like myself don't waste time by drying cars, I just drive up and down the road and then the sun dry it. It works so much better! Because I'm a true DETAILTER I went down to Big Lots and used Pledge and paper towels to polish, seal and wax the black paint. I hope you like the pictures. Because washing cars is like SO MUCH FUN!!! :giterdone:
i bet he did this: 1) Truck foamed with CG Citrus Wash 'n Gloss 2) Truck washed with CG Citrus Wash 'n Gloss and ShMITT 3) Dried with blue CG Waffle Weave 4) Z-1 5) Z-5 6) Z-2 7) Jetseal on all wheels, bumpers and running boards 8) PB Natural Look on plastic bits 9) Adam's Undercarriage Spray on wheel wells 10) Stoner IG on all glass 11) AA Tire Gel topped w/ Natural Look on tires
It looks like LanceM had a looksie about on Autopia and found out about my deeply BURIED detailing secret... Your guess what RIGHT ON!!! HEY HEY WATCH IT WOLF! Just kidding my friend, it did end up look VERY good. Makes me want to strip my truck and Zaino it. Perhaps in the next few weeks... This was a full Zaino treatment. Love the stuff, hate the long curing times. No, I put Turtle Wax on ALL PLASTIC TRIM and RUBBER MOULDINGS!!!
vrry vrry nice there bro... Zaino isn't starting to look so bad, but i aint gonna buy any any time soon. fantastic job
Explain Zaino to me please, in term of process. What gives the "zaino look"? Is it the polishes? or is it some sort of sealant? where does the cure accelerator come in?
Man truck looks good but the write up had me laughing all the way through :lol2: :lol2: Thank you for sharing.
The Z1 is no longer available, it was replaced by Z-AIO according to Sal. Or, you can buy the ZFX and meth-lab up a little concoction. You get to look cute with your little lab coat and goggles at the same time!!! I first apply a layer of Z1, which is a bonding agent. Let that haze over for about 15 minutes and I don't wipe it off. Then, I apply my layer of Z5 and let that sit for about 30 minutes. Wipe off. Finally, the layer of Z2 Pro goes on. The longer you let it is, the better, but I let mine cure for at least an hour. Wipe off and PRESTO! Zaino is a sealant. It's easy on and easy off. I wouldn't say VERY easy on and VERY easy off. You have to use VERY VERY little, so if you use too much it's a little tougher to get off.
A couple of questions: 1. The ZFX is the dropper that replaced the Z1? 2. How long does this last? 3. How does the sealant affect the MF towels used?
Thanks for the tip Piet, I will try the following advice on the M5 when I get a chance and then also compare it later with a Zymol Vintage comparo! Check this out: And for the most extreme enthusiast... While not required, for the ULTIMATE in paint protection and an INCREDIBLE show car finish, use Z-AIO, followed by 2 coats of ZFX enabled Z-5 PRO, then 1 coat of Z-2 PRO (including a Z-6 wipe down between coats) and finish off with an application of Z-CS. Wait 12 hours, then wipe down the vehicle with Z-8. Get your sunglasses out, the gloss may be blinding.
1) The real replacement of Z1 is Z-AIO. What ZFX does is replace what Z1 did but on top of that, ensure a flash cure. No more waiting to layer, you can layer instantly. 2) My customers are seeing 3 months with weekly washes. When I did the R32 this weekend, the protection was still good! 3) I personall use my black/yellow CG MFs and it works great. However, I use the "rougher" side if that makes any sense. Then I flip it around and use the "softer" side for a final wipe-down. This will the ULTIMATE!!! Cannot wait to see the results on the M5.
I don't know if you bought Z6 or not, but MAN, you need to spray it SOOOOOO finely before it starts streaking, that you have to dilute it 1:1 to make it usable.
