Order UUUUUPPPPPP!!!

Well here I was thinking that I wouldn't see this order for a wile and look what was wainting for me at home:



Well what could it be...mmm...here is me trying to figuire out what it was(wife took this one, she thought it was funny be trying to figuire out what was in the box).

Okay now for the goodies:

3M backing plate....yellow foam :headbang: total of 5


3M Black Polishing pad...total of 5...they come in sets of 2.


3M Blue Polishing pad....total of 5 again they come in sets of 2


3M Compounding pad...foam is stiff...it reminded me of the Menzerna pads...got a total of 4


Zymol Polish duster, I'll be using this to remove the dust left from the polishign stage rather then using a MF to remove the dust :headbang: less chance of inducing any more micromarring on the paint.






5/8th I wonder if I'm going to miss the spindle extension on my Metabo :shrug: one way to find out :buffing:

No way to get these from 3M in the US? My buddy who sits next to me at work is the account manager for 3M. Maybe I can send a few emails?

 

Oh man I tried everything to find these 3M products in the US..made tons of phone calls and nothing...if you get the pads or the backing plates in the US let me know because the backing plates are just wicked...the pads them selves feel a lot different compared to the 3M products I currently have...looks like UK 3M and US 3M have totally different products.

I'll be putting these goodies to the test shortly, I got a truck waiting for me :beerbang:

oh if these pads work out great, I'm ordering a case of each...I love the size :wicked:

 

Nica: can you tell me what the difference this BP gives? I mean I can tell that it looks totally different but funtionaly what is different and is this for your rotary?

Well you see the yellow foam in between the velcro? Well that gives you extra cusion beteen the foam pad and the paint. It grips the foam pad like you wouldn't beleave..I always laugh when I'm removing the foam pad...it's like removing a sticker or something like that. Oh the best part is that when you bring the pad close to an edge the extra cusion (yellow foam) give you that extra cution that even if you do happen to be applying presure on the pad the foam absorbes that pressure on to the paint. It works really well when it comes to paint correction, I don't know it's just my :2cents: but I feel it helps produce results...I think it has to do with the yellow foam in between the pad and the way it levels out what ever surface you on...but that's just my opinion on it. Now that FMINUS has these pads I'd like to hear his feed back.

lol its all good, I have a seat cover that I keep in the trunk and I put it on my driver seat if I'm ever dirty from working. My older sister saw it on my seat one time and said I was like our grandmother and her plastic covers on the furniture...:rollingpin:

So you tried the 3M black Polishing pads? Nice...good to hear soem feed back on them...I ordered them to try them out and see if i was going to like them..I really wanted the blue ones as I'm pleased with the 8inch blue pad I currently have...but the black I just figuired get the full range of them give them a world...but thanks for the feed back.

 

Look up polished Bliss UK...the owner's name is Rich, really nice guy. Rich and Clark are wicked detailers and they post lots at Detailing World...if you ever want to se there work look them up at Detailing World both Rich and Clark always post there.

How long...well the package was sent out on Friday of last week...and I received it today...so 4days...but it was sent via Fedex and it cost me another $80ish when my wife signed off the paper work at home...yup it's fast but you pay for it :wall:
