ive used the mirka ones a lot and REALLY liked them. good weight, nice construction. they seem to be really well made.
What size backing plate do you have and or recommend? I have been sanding by hand so a little new to the orbital sander
4 or 5 inch is all youd really need. i tend to not use any kind of DA or orbital sander for removing scratches etc. i prefer to do it by hand, but i will sand via machine if i have to sand a whole panel. i believe they sell smaller sanding discs like 3" ones ive seen people use with DA polishers. this is something im looking to try out this coming season.
