Has anyone here used both these products, or all three if you want to comment on Prime Strong too? I'm curious as to how they compare. Obviously the Wekstat product is substantially more expensive so that factor may be a consideration as well.
Polyseal is a polymer, werkstadt an acrylic. you will see slightly better durability (in general) with JW products. but having used them extensively they are a PIA compared to most polymers. For instance glanz wax from 1z is 99% of what JW in looks and durability. 1zGlanz is and is far less temperamental or as much a pain in the ass to remove. It is a polymer carnauba product.
I've only used Carlack Nano Systematic Care which is very much like Werkstatt Prime. Cleaning power is about the same in both (Poli-Seal and Carlack), which is very good. Poli-Seal is slightly abrasive and Prime is not, so if your looking for some correction you should go for Poli-Seal. If you're only after cleaning and sealing then either one would do. Acrylics are polymers too, AFAIK.
In the strictest sense yes, acrylics are a type of polymer. In the detailing world these are often differentiated by the durability and how they bond. there is often a vast gap between the durability of a "polymer sealant/wax" and an "acrylic sealant". Where the newer coatings fit in i am not sure. It would be interesting to learn more about how they bond and adhere to the paint while providing the protection that they do.
I agree that the Carnauba products can be a PITA, but the Acrylic products are a breeze. I've never has an issue with them at all.
sorry about the old thread, does prime acrylic fair any better than strong compared to poliseal, does poliseal come off easier than either of the werkstat products Are there any other aio that out perform/better than these
I have not used Prime but I can say I have yet to find a product that comes off easier then Poli Seal, top Poli Seal with Opti Seal and you have a great look and durability
After I polish the paint, I have to remove the polishers with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) or can I apply directly a AIO product like poli-seal?
I dont get the JW PITA comment, i sealed my new shower doors(- _ -) with it to play and it went on easy and was easy to remove.
sorry bud this comment. he states that they are a PIA which i assume means PITA and i stated i applied and removed quite easily.
