Well Chris was nice enough to give away some products a little while back, in exchange for a review. I actually won a bottle of Hyper Polish to review, and I took advantage of the free shipping to also get a bottle of Hyper Compound. Instead of reviewing the polish, I am review the compund as the last job I worked on was a good example of how this stuff works.

I read the instructions and the bottle stated to spray on the car or on the pad. My first spray was on the car. Which looks like this
    [IMG]
The spray sort of went everywhere on the hood, sprayer works almost too well, so I opted for spraying a bit on the pad instead.

The hood of the car I used it on was the Lexus IS 300 that was in bad shape from the body shop.

So I started on a small area with one squirt of product. I then hit the hood 2 more times, each with a small spray on my pad and this the progress I made.

After compounding I then followed up with the hyper polish to get this

Overall, the compound did a very good job removing the sanding marks and bringing a nice gloss back to the paint. It works relatively fast, not as fast as 105, but with far less mess and clean up was a snap. The product doesn`t dust, but does spit a bit.

Optimum Hyper Compound may end up staying in my arsenal as its ease of use and easy cleanup are definitely time savers. And you know what they say, time is money. The price is a little high compared to some compounds, but the time saving would more than make up for the amount of time saved on clean up .

    I would give it a 9.5 out of 10

The price is a bit steep for only 18oz compared to Meguiars 105 for the same price but in 32oz. I really appreciate your review because I keep eying this product when I visit DD.

Looks good, I wanna try this, is it thinner then 105 since its in a spray bottle? I love 105 but the dust is SO ANNOYING!

Is the cut the same as the traditional hyper compound?

I've been using this product since it came out and I really like it. Low dusting with decent cut (M105 still cuts more, but it's way too dusty). It's a time saver for sure.

Thanks for a great review and for reading the instructions and giving both applications a shot...very thorough! I also really appreciate the 9.5 outta 10. Considering how much effort we've put in to balancing cut with finish and maintaining our virtually dust free correction products, it feels food to get this kind of feedback from the field. One thing worth mentioning about the price is that this is much more advanced than traditional pastes and you will use considerably less product to do the same job so it's not really apples to apples or oz to oz if you will.

FYI our Compound II just received a formula upgrade this week that offers you guys a paste version of the sprayable ken case you prefer a more traditional application. Look for the New Formula sticker and the 32oz size gets a new bottle and EZ pour spout.

no comparison to 105, its very "watery" compared to 105 which is very thick
cuts about the same, from my experience
