My mom has been wanting me to put on the Optimum Coating ever since I started getting samples of it several months ago. Well today I finally got a chance to do a full paint correction and to put on the coating for her! Washed with ONR Tarminator to take off all of the time and she had a ton OD Claybar w/ONR as clay lube Dressed tires and fenderwells with Optimum Tire Shine Paint Correction Optimum Compound w/LC CCS Orange Pad used with my Hitachi rotary Optimum Finish Polish w/ LC CCS White Poling Pad Wiped the the paint down with alcohol and applied 2 coats of the new Optimum Opti Coating as the LSP Again, sorry for my crappy photos, by the time I was finished it was dark and you know how bad my camera skills are! I will try to get some pictures of it in the sun, it is supposed to rain the next few days though. :thud:
Thanks bud! Like I said, my picture taking stills are terrible. The pictures don't even do it justice, I was really impressed on how this turned out.
Looks nice! Funny, I did actualy polish and coated my mother in laws car yesterday with 205 and then opticoat.
Wow...your mom has a great ride. Very red and oh what a shine! Well protected against the elements too. Thanks for sharing Justin! :applause:
Thanks guys! Well it is raining today, so no sun shots. It is supposed to rain for the next few now. After all the rain is gone, I will give the car a wash and take some pics.
so what's your impression of opti-coat? Is it just an lsp or will it actually minimize light marring from wash media etc?
You will still get marring if you have the coating on if you wash incorrectly and so on..... I haven't noticed if it minimizes marring or not.
