    Chris/Dr G.,

If a vehicle has been treated with Opti-Coat in the past is it possible to aply clear bra paint protection (VentureShield) over the treated surface or does the Opti-Coat need to be removed?

    Thanks,

Jason, off the top of my head I don't think you'd have any issues doing that.

OC doesn't contain any oils that will gas off, so bonding shouldn't be an issue. If the venture shield has to be removed the OC should help as a sacrificial layer in case any marring happens. Not an expert on this situation, just thinking out loud.........

    Cheers,
    Greg

Yes, it will be fine and cause no problems. You can use a solvent as usual to prep and go ahead as you normally do. Now, if you remove a clear bra that had OC applied up to, but not under the edges you will have to compound down the line and reapply to the area. You can also apply OC directly to the clearbra material to maintain a fresh new look that will not fade/yellow.

asked that question before and Avi said there is no issue either you do cquartz before clear bra or applying it on top of clear bra
