Keep in mind they will probably shrink it down. I like #3 because it seems balanced and more portrait-like, but I like your style in #1. Maybe crop away some of the top greenery background of #1? Good luck on your application. Remember during your interviews that steadiness and confidence (but not cockiness) are just as important as intelligence.

Thanks for all so far, hopefully a few more will chime in...I feel that there is no process that can be downplayed in this deal, i have struggled with it and even one slip up can throw you out, because guess what? There are tons of us applicants and even something as small as this can make a difference...i have my ears pierced (be easy on me) and it is pretty evident so im kinda worried about that...no tatoos, so thats a plus for this...and yes the interview is super critical, they want you to keep your cool no matter what. The school here in Albuquerque actually asks you to make a proposal to fix our healthcare system, brutal eh? If it was that easy, wouldnt it have been done? They just want you to answer intelligently..and im not even supposed to know that question, so it is supposed to catch you off guard

#3. Better framing and leaning in is a more powerful/assured pose than the other two.

Three looks the best although 1 looks the most natural.

3 b/c its not just a head shot and your kind of leaning so it adds to the pic...

i'd vote for # 3. But if i may suggest, no offense or anything, maybe you should wear something more formal. if it's going to med school application, you may want them to think that you're serious. just my opiniion. hope you don't get offended.

I vote #3. headshots are overrated, and leaning towards the camera adds a little bit of a personal touch to the person who is viewing the photo.
