should i use a grout sponge or microfiber chenille wash mitt for an ONR wash?

my car is covered in pollen and i have decided to do an ONR wash tomorrow. I have used a mf chenille wash mitt in the past with ONR, but i forgot that i had a LC grout sponge underneath all of my applicators.

any advice is much appreciated :thumb:

Lake Country Grout Sponge is the shit for ONR washes. If the car has lots of salt, then I suggest a micro chenille wash mitt (the one with hundreds of little "fingers").

I'm partial to both on the same wash. I use the grout sponge for the upper half of the car then a LC sponge with all the little cuts in it to help grab and hold the debri from the lower half, might take longer but I want to keep as much crap out of the sponge that will imo show more wash induced defects.

I typically use the Proline grout sponge or the Zymol sponge.

Tried both and personally like the chenille wash mitts I got from Griots the best. I was always worried about something catching in the sponge but not sure why exactly. Like the fact that I can toss the mitts in the washer after each wash and have a clean one each time.

I've been using a grout sponge for ONR until I tried the Eurow mf's, super nice for ONR jobs and many other functions.

Are those the thicker blue towels? If so I won one last season from another detailing site, I will have to give it a try.

If its stained from the ONR, just use any regular soap and it should release the stain.

the small contaminants seem to be stuck on the sponge
