So I've been convincing my dad to get into detailing stuff lately, and he wants to be able to use ONR to wash our cars in the garage this winter. I have the ONR, buckets, and two wash mitts, one sheepskin and the other one of those microfiber dreadlock things. And a few vroom drying towels from Target, and a hoard of Costco towels (obviously not to use on the paint). What else do we need? Obviously more towels...what are some nice inexpensive ones? As always we don't want to damage the paint, especially since I don't do paint correction work (yet).

    Thanks!

    CG Monster Drying Towel :D
but yeah looks good, probably a set just for rims/tires. APC then ONR works well too!

Yeah Chemical Guys have a great line of microfibers for the price. There microfiber detergent for a gallon is also the cheapest I have seen anywhere and I here it works good

I would get some grit guards.

    Grit guard I have.

As far as towels...all of those look good, but I would imagine that I need more than just one. How many do you go through for a large car? My mom drives a Mercedes GL450 so we'd need enough to properly clean it.

3-4 Drying Towels for SUVs imo

I use 3-4 normal mf usually because i spritz QD when i wipe or clay.

I'm horrible at drying and applying QD in the garage tho, cant see stuff, need to change those bulbs but i dont have a ladder and there isnt enough space for my halogen when both cars are in.

Would these work well? I want to buy them in bulk and they have great prices on them.

*EDIT* Or what about the Detailed Image towels? They have a big sale going on right now and I'd love to take advantage of it. I was thinking these...or are there any other types of their towels that would work well?

I have towels from both CG and DI and you cant go wrong with either one. Get these they are great and for the price you cant beat it.

I would recommend having some ONR at QD strength in a sprayer on hand for winter washes too. That way you can "pre soak" the panels with the ONR QD then wash them. It helps if the car is a little dirtier than you'd prefer for a regular ONR wash.

Thanks for the info! I just placed an order from them and got them too, are they having some massive sale? Because I picked up their microfiber detergent, leather conditioner, and wheel wax all at something like half price too...got Dad's birthday and Christmas shopping done! And some Stripper Scent air freshener, gotta try it out for myself :)

Thanks for the tip...due to a lucky mistake I have a gallon of it diluted at QD ratio so I know what I'll be using it for!

    Thanks!

Sorry for the late response the ubers are plusher than the CG as they are 700 grams. the GC are around 500 I think. I would go with either one I am sure you will be happy which ever route you go. As for trying it with ONR i have not just for quick detailing and lsp removal.

Thats cool they have some good product at for good prices. The stripper scent i here smells like cigarettes, victoria secret body spray and a hint of grey goose haha just kidding man:)
