The ease to switch backing plates. I figured I would get a wrench in the box. Smart engineering on Makitas part, very nice. Switch on the fly and keep moving. An unexpected surprise, I like it.:thumb:
Yeah it truely is a great machine, I sometimes have a hard decision to make between that and the metabo every time I preform paint correction. They both have there benifits so most times I use both one with the gray and one with the yellow 3m backing plate.
It's a wonderful machine. I think my favorite part about it is the bail handle. Makes fiddling around with lower panels and curvy sections a whole lot easier - and I'm not always hitting the vehicle with a big stick handle coming out of the side of the machine.
Two of my good buddies are top detailers in my area and they swear by the 3m backing plate. Its on my shopping list. The price is another story:crasy:
You'll be pleased with the Makita, wait till you get comfortable with it...it will feel like an extension of your arms :thumb:
