Hey ladies and gents. I had another black GTR to work on this week. In the worst shape of any of the others I have done. On top of that, apparently the car had sections repainted by Satan himself as the clear used was the stickiest, expansive under heat and just plain didn’t want to correct as I have ever seen. I made STI paint look like a dream. I didn’t get a tone of photos but the owner was hoping to take a few snap shots in the sun later on. We also opticoated it. I worked 13 hours on it in one day and Hamza helped for about 4 for a total of 17 hours. Not fun. I think we got about 90% correction using a 2 step process.

Thanks to Bryan for calling me

Here's some pictures I picked up

Right side polished, left side not

Really hazy paint on the repainted parts of the car which was like 75% of the car

Luckily I had Bryan to guide me for what steps I should take, having done this for a while he knows what he is doing.

How does somebody let a GTR get like that?

You guys did a great job on a awesome car. Sucks that I couldn't help since I only get Fri/Sat off.

It really depends on the part of the car you are referring to. I mean most of the major body panels were repaint so I believe Bryan used like 10 different combos to get the car done. I myself used 3 different pads ( bs green, ble an LC black with sip) to finish the panels I did

105 and surbufs, mf pads were a flop. Finished with super finish on a rotary.

Menzerna SuperFinish PO106FA on a Rotary is exactly what I used on a 2007 Black Subaru STI and it was the only combo that worked great on this paint.

Glad you found out how great it is too.

I do a tonne of sti's. They are a cake walk compared to the resprayed sections. This paint was softer than gtr paint. I thought i was going to.go.insane.
