Well, as winter is fast approaching I doubt that I'm gonna have very many details left until next year when it warms up again, I thought I'd post one I did last summer. I didn't get paid for it per se, but I owed the owner (who was at the time my housemate) rent money as I had just moved in and was flat broke. I offered to detail her car rather than pay her back and she was thrilled at the prospect. It was given to her by a relative and had never been cleaned. It's a 1998 Toyota Camry, with something like 190K on it. I don't remember much on products, I know I used OPC on the interior and my Bissell LGM (plus a hose) on the floormats. The pictures really tell the story on this one, so here ya go. I cleaned the interior to the best of my abilities and simply washed the exterior. Before: And the winner of the "dirtiest cupholder I've ever seen in my entire life" award goes to... This is all the stuff that was in her car, she nannys; hence the car seats Afters. Some of the staining in the carpet was permanent, and would not come out; to be expected with a 14-year old car. I was quite happy with the results on this one, it came a lot cleaner than I expected. That's all I got, as always any questions, comments, criticisms, etc. are welcome Thanks for reading, Clark
Nice results....did you just use power clean throughout the whole interior? It seems pretty good compare to meg apc+
I'm not sure how long it took, I did this detail in bits and pieces while the owner was out of town. I'd say 6 or so hours though? I did, however on the dirtier spots on the floor I pretreated with Zep Citrus 3:1. It works really well on stains and I haven't had an issue with it discoloring carpet yet. I used to use regular Megs APC but I like OPC a lot better. It smells nicer, and does a better job of cleaning.
She's a nanny, and hauls other people's kids around in that interior? Good lord. Great job and an amazing turn around. Always amazing what a Bissell will pull out.
haha, I actually lived with her for a while. She was pretty clean; the car was apparently pretty dirty when she got it.
