Ok, it is far from being as glamorous as allot of the current spread of products...... but I wanted to try NXT in my foam cannon, it is actually a very good soap, it smells great and I have been using it on my suburban for maybe 6 years.

I put 1 oz in my 32 oz bottle and diluted it to the line, hooked up and let it rip......

It created very dense foam which actually stuck to the car, not alot of big bubbles, but dense tightly packed small bubbles. The NXT was allot slower to sheet off (which is a huge plus) compared to Maxi Sudz2 and Citrus clear it was slower to dwell as it was sheeting off the car.

As for cleaning, IMO it did a better job removing a weeks worth of dust, and still left a nice shine and decent slickness; so after I foamed I filled up two buckets for my 2BM system, plus two caps of NXT. and there was still maybe 20-30% left of the NXT foam on the car.....

All in all, I think its a very under rated product on here, it actually cleans. I think when i run out of my Citrus clear I wont buy any more, ill just use NXT. NXT is good quality soap, and readily available and I know its not as sexy as some of the other stuff out there, but it foams and cleans very well, and is a very balanced product. Unless someone can tell me some horrific reason why I should not use it, I honestly recommend having some in your arsenal.

I like the CG products, but to me they focus more on the foaming aspect then the actual cleaning abilities.. great foam, but not as dense and thick as NXT.

Id rather have a better clean then a ton of foam which really means nothing if it cannot clean

I never had a problem with any NXT products besides the duribility on the tech wax.In fact my favorite metal polish to this day is the NXT metal polish. I never tried this product though, does the NXT shampoo add any gloss to the paint when you wash it?

not as much as glossworks, or a traditional wash and wax type shampoo but it does leave a nice look to it. if you have ever tired gold class, this is a better product hands down.

NXT used to be the S*** back in the day, havent tried anything recently but I'm assuming Meguiars didnt change formulas.
In my own personal opinion, NXT is better than Glossworks and much better than Gold Class. I never really liked Gold Class (too much like baby shampoo) and even though Glossworks provides a nice shine, I'd prefer it to have more suds.
All the NXT products (metal polish, tire shines, tire cleaners, soap, spray wax) do exactly what the labels say they do.. Shine!
A few years back all the local stores stopped carrying the NXT line and I had to switch to Gold Class and Deep Crystal, NXT was always far superior. The NXT line is what got me started in the detailing game, and to this day I still use the metal polish on pretty much every detail. I wouldnt hesitate to pick up the rest of the line again (minus Tech wax.... of course)

easiest way to sum up Gold Class shampoo is..... have you ever felt plastic that was cleaned with dawn, well to me that is how the finish on my car feels, it almost squeaks if you rub your finger across it. The QD is a nice product as well........

the tech wax was total poo......... The Ultimate spray wax is on par with V7 though for looks and durability, I have some of that for door jams etc.

Spray wax is very good.idk if its as good as V7 but i like it...i also like the NXT tireshine.it last for a couple months depending on the weather and leaves one hell of a shine..actually too much of a shine for me. almost makes ur tires look like a hot wheels car...but it is durable.lol

V7 lasts maybe two washes, at least that has been my experience, it is still a good product none the less and I use it alot.

I think Megs endurance is the rein incarnation of the NXT tire shine, less shine, but very durable.

NXT is definitely some good soap. That's what I used long time ago before I discovered the boutique products.

I used to use this, but Adams Shampoo is cheap, and foams great. Once I find a shampoo that works, especially in a foam canon, i stick with it. (lusso if no canon) Ill drop coin on polishes, waxes, sealants, and tire dressing until the cows come home, but not shampoo.

$10.00 is pretty cheap if you ask me. 1 oz per 5 gallons... that's a prettty decent dilution. Maybe if your doing 50 cars a month a gallon of adams or chemical guys then becomes more cost effectve due to the higher dilution ratio.

Ill spend coin on products that work. Especially soap. If your car is not clean everything else is pointless. I think a good shampoo regardless of the cost is a keystone to detailing, just as important at LSP which many people are more focused in due to it being the sexier part of what we do.

I have used and own many soaps, Chemical Guys, Mothers, Prima, etc, and they all work. The point of this write up was to illustrate a OTC product that is as good if not better then some of the Boutique products on the market, especially for those who if they run out of product, they have a idea of what works in a pinch.
