sadly most people just want their car "clean" and don't really care about the extensive damage these places can cause......

atleast they are using a water softener LOL

a good friend of mine owns one of these high volume car washes........ if money is what you want, this is a decent business to be in, but if this is the business you want to be in forget what you know from this site about properly washing a car

    LOL

Awesome video, thanks for the link.

I won't lie: I love going to the carwash. Not with my own vehicles, of course. But I took my boss' car through the carwash the day he got married and it reminded me of being a kid again when my dad, my brother and I would often take the 'ole Volvo on Saturdays. Good times...

Ill admit I take my truck through my friends car wash.............. from time to time, but its not automated and they hand wash it. I have not noticed any abnormal marring they use an ungodly amount of pressurized air to dry it from those blowers like int he video; and what little water is left on it I give them my peak drying towel to dry it off. after I lifted my Sierra its sort of a hassle to wash it all the time, i take my suburbans through there as well.... Id rather spend time with my family then waste 6 hours on a saturday washing full size trucks.

The only automatic washes I use are the ones with the water jets and that's only in the Winter.
