I love these cars and how affordable they have become over the past couple of years. What a great bang for the buck. I love even more that they can realistically be utilized as a daily driver if circumstances allow. This one has a car seat in the back. Not too many other cars that can perform this way can also carry a car seat.

This color hides the imperfections in the paint so well. It was difficult to catch them for pictures (more on that later) but most of all the car was just "dirty" from being driven almost every day. Nothing that can't be fixed, right?! I also had to spend some time removing old, dried wax that was left over in cracks and crevices including on some trim.

    Foam wash
    Clay bar
    Dried
    Masked
Griot's 6" DA w/ LC Foam yellow pads
    Menzerna SI1500
    Menzerna Powerlock

Starting at the crack of just after 6AM....

    The foam shot of course...

Clay was relatively clean. Turned a little brown but nothing too major.

On to the lighting inspection! This color was hard to catch the imperfections and focus on them with the camera. I darkened some of the pictures only to expose the defects in the paint.

Looks to be like something fishy going on here where the wide fenders meets/blends the panel between the windows....

I got sick to my stomach when I stumbled upon this! Thankfully there wasn't a dent and just a mark from some jerk's door. Thankfully 95% of it was removed!

It's late but let's get started! Remember, it's hard to see the lines but hopefully you guys/gals can see the difference!

I started with an orange foam pad with FG400 but it barely budged the paint. So I stepped it up to the SI1500 with the yellow foam pad and that worked well.

Taillights improved a lot. Really cool looking design if you stare at it as long as I had to lol.

Just kidding! Let's start on the interior...

I always say Porsches look so good with a nice pedal set!

I noticed that stain in the passenger floor mat as well...

A little Folex action took care of it!

Back up early since I saw some sunshine coming through the bedroom window. Usually when I am ready to take my reveal pictures it's always cloudy!!!

Awesome work!!! Like you said these models are really affordable now, but the IMS bearing failures scare the crap out of me.

That wasn't an issue with the Mezger motor I believe. On the regular, non-turbo 996 models the IMS and RMS were the two big issues to be concerned with.

    Thanks for the kind words!

That would be an awesome daily driver!! And my son/daughter would have a beautiful grin everyday after being g-forced into their seat!!! I agree with color being hard to catch defects, but nice going Andy!! Good to see you have some sun filled reveals finally!!! :)
