So, I'm going to order my da coming up...next big purchase...and I want to start using it, but I had questions...I'm not looking at all to get into paint correction on my or anyone else's cars yet, just easy application of waxes, and polished, etc

That being said, if I am just learning, would it be a bad idea to go into any tougher polishes or compounds, or would you recommend just sticking to m205 and po203 type final polishes just to enhance shine for now...?

Polishing is paint correction. With a DA you stand nearly no chance of messing up.

Even compounding with a DA you won't be cutting a significant amount of clear off the paint.

Basically, you can't mess up with a DA. Go ahead and pick up the whole kit and caboodle. But always test your combo on a small section of panel before you dive into doing the whole car.
