Good day, Had the pleasure of detailing this nice 350Z. It was going to be sold the next day (today, actually) so it was all about looks. Got my game plan together and it turned out nicely... 1) Foam with CG Citrus Wash 'n Gloss 2) Wash with CG Citrus Wash 'n Gloss 3) Dry with CG Waffle Weave and Cobra Guzzler 4) SIP w/ Flex on 5 with orange CCS 5) CG Jetseal 109 6) Pinnacle Souveran - Adam's Undercarriage Spray on wells - Megs Split Rim / Wheel Brightner on wheels - Adam's VRT on tires - 1Z Cockpit Premium on interior - Poorboys Natural Look on all plastic - Megs Last Touch on all door jams Enjoy! BEFORES ----------- The paint was looking very tired, it has been in storage for a few months and it showed... Waterspots and scratches on the bonnet. The insides of the wheels needed some help. AFTERS --------- Very nice Brembo brakes! :applause2:
Wow great job and someone is getting a really well detailed vehicle today. You are right the paint looked pretty lifeless in the befores and the afters it's just poppin'. Great job mate as always. Since it was all about looks is that why you chose Souveran as your LSP?
Thanks! Thanks mate, appreciate it! You should have been my orange pad after I was done with it, it was almost BLACK from all the crap I pulled from it. HORRIBLE! That's right, I hadn't ever used Souveran before since I'm afraid of what the customers might think after it wears off after a few weeks, but in this case, it had to be about looks. Thanks man! Thanks!!! ' Nope, didn't finish SIP with anything. Went around the whole cars to remove waterspots, scratches and all that other good stuff and it ended up looking really good without having to grab the PO85RD. Thanks! And Pat: thanks for the advise yesterday, appreciated! Hope you ended up turning in your paper on time...
P1et..lovely finish on the 350Z. I'm impressed you were able to finish it so well after the SIP..did you try a panel with 85rd for giggles? I think I might have just to see if I could have got it even better..not a criticism, just an observation. Some great shots, too.:applause2:
Hey hey I actually mowed the grass this afternoon, you'd be PROUD!!! The car sold for asking price, which was $15,200. I called the owner today, he said the customer was very impressed with the overal condition of the car, didn't even try to come down on the price. Job DONE! They are very nice looking vehicles, although I find that the inside has a bit too many plastic bits. Was not impressed with it. Thanks! Since I was only being paid for a one-step, I thought that SIP would make a better overal impression. I needed to get rid of the hard water and scratches, and PO85RD wouldn't have been able to handle it. To be honest, SIP was really having to work to get the bonnet to look in good shape. But it probably would have looked better finishing down with 85, even though on metallics, that can be touch sometimes. Adam's VRT is hands down my favorite at the moment, even though I have some Optimum Opti Bond Tire Gel I have not used yet!
