Nikon D40 Kit on Clearance

    I was at Target today and saw the D40 Kit in the clearance section. For $349, it's a nice price on a good entry-level DSLR!

    Though I'd post this as I bet several member haven't made it into the DSLR world yet...

    Wow, that is a nice find. I bought my own D40 about a year ago. This page eased the learning curve quite a bit:

    Loos like they are selling them online too?? Cr@p!!!!!! I just replaced the ! body with a different Canon!!! I would have been all over the Nikon!!!!! It's 6.something megapixels, which is fine for posting on the net!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:duh:

    I actually saw they were out of stock online. My local Target had quite a few of them, two in the clearance section and a few more in the locked glass cabinet.

    The D40 and D60 are replaced by the D3000 and D5000 so expect big discounts.
