    Emile Welcome to Detailing

2011 Subaru WRX STI Sedan Limited w/Nav.

Picked it up this morning, only 6 miles on the odometer. Pictures are at the parking lot at work. Too busy to drive right now, but love looking at it from my office window.

Very nice man congrats. I did a new car prep on a 2011 WRX in that exact same metallic gray color not too long ago; which is a sick color by the way, also I applied Opti-Coat V2 to it. I have to say it I enjoyed working on it more than other vehicles I have done, the clear to my surprise didn't give me any issues during the correction:)

its not that bad............but it depends on how far your foot is from the floor.

    Emile Welcome to Detailing

Thanks for the kind words guys. I am super excited to start detailing this car. It is going to be a whole lot more complicated than my former 08 WRX because the panels are weirdly shaped, there are the four pipes in the back, and there is a whole lot of mesh all over the place. The wheels are also a lot more complicated but I look forward to all of this.

You can't see it, but I purchased and had the dealership take off the OEM tires and put on a set of ContiExtremeContact DWS tires (factory sizing) because I need to be able to drive in the dirt at my job site year-round and I have to drive in the snow during the winter.

Kilo, I did as much research as possible on the DCCD and SI Drive, but why is DCCD blinking at me sometimes? Sometimes randomly during acceleration, it will flash a green triangle at me while running in Auto mode. Is that the diff making adjustments or something?

These cars are dope. Are you still required to drive under X RPM for a given mileage?

We know these cars oh so well, lovely to work with!

    Congrats Emile ...

Glad you got a ride that you can use as an official wheel cleaner tester. Brembo brake dust can get really nasty, especially if decide to track it.

Are you planning on doing mods??

.mine never blinks, may be on the newer cars.......it could be adjusting, especially if its under load. that is the point of the AUTO it allows the power to transfer, but I would worry if its blinking red not green...... green means faster!!!!! LOL

when you swap pads, get the performance friction pads, I love them on my STI, the only other brake modification I would look into is ss lines, make it stop 100% better, almost like a brick. and they don't dust as much as the brembo pads
