Nice, you'll like it FMINUS water spots are going to be a thing of the past.

Um...where does it leak? Becuase mine always leaks at the house connections. If it's leaking at the house connections that's nothing..well at least I dont' think it's anything to be worried about..oh just as a heads up I'd purhcase tons of the resin chargers becuase depending how hard your water is you may have be changing the chargers often. Here is what I recomend:

Its leaking from where the filter screws in. The centering ring it right, the washer is right, the O-ring is right, and Ive unscrewed it and back 4 times...... :duh:

Oh that's never happened to me  that's odd.

Well considering I do one vehicle per weekend....oh but when I do a firetruck I use lots of water. I've been getting about two months out of my filters and then they need replacement. I need to replace the resings on mine, I didn't realise how bad the water was here. If you use the CR system on a daily basis you'd be lucky if you get a month out of it...well it all depends on how bad your water is. I usually don't change the resints till the radings are over 100. Right now the readings in my system is saying 150 so it's time to change it.

Did you test ur water levels without using the CR? Do you know what they are at?

So at $200 per resin case, 67 bucks a refill, each refill lasting 2 months = 8 cars.

So each car is costing you about $8.40 for water.... Hmmm Im sure the fact that the water just sits in the machine when you are NOT using it is causing it to wear faster too...

I wonder how many more washes you can get out of it if you used it a lot more?

I personaly did not test the water FMINUS, I have a friend that works at the City Hall here in town and he provided me with the readings. If I'm not mistaken the were in the 285PPM range and I beleave it becuase last time I changed the resins the indicator was reading way over the 200PPM mark.

Yup, that's about right FMINUS. Oh and yes leaving water just sit on the filter is not very good...I sometimes drain all the water from the filters but most of the time I just foget and leave the water in the filters for a week or weeks...I'm sure this does effect the filter but I'm not overly concerned about it.

Well if you use it more I would think it's about the same, I haven't worked it all out but you get x amount of water per resins...but it's all subject to how hard your water is...like I said I haven't worked out the numbers from the readings I was provided.

FMINUS..if its still leaking from the housing.,....get some silicone O-Ring grease..if the o ring is dry and you tighten it..the ring will crimp....even vasoline will work...lube the o ring....

Those filters are extremely small. The amount of time the water is exposed to the filter is very little. Combine that with a high GPM output and you will get hardly any filtration. The water is simply not exposed to the filters long enough to be effective. I wouldnt put more then 1 GPM through that thing. They dont do crap.

The CR system is de- ionized water filtration. The filters are double the size and more effective. The large 20" system is good up to 4 GPM, the smaller one is good to 2.5 GPM. The large one brought my readings from 295 to 000.
