I noticed that AG has the new G110 V2 in stock. But they say it ships in 2 to 3 weeks..Maybe it's just me but I think they are full of #@$%...Why would it take three weeks to ship something that you have in stock...ADS showed theirs in stock and when I ordered it, it shipped out the same day...I have spent lots of money with Ag as well as CG, PAC, Top of the Line, Zymol and few others. Besides Zymol, I spend the most money with AG and they have good customer service but they will not get one more cent from me for a couple of reasons..I don't like their business practices as a whole..For one thing, I was new to their site and eveytime I placed an order, it seemed that I either missed a sale or missed one that was coming..I paid $95 for the Pinnacle Souv. only to find out that they have BOGO sale on it on a regular basis..I bought their foam canon for $125 only to find the same exact one for $59 from a different source...Oh yeah, it didn't have the fifty cent AG logo sticker on it...They are constantly having sales and promotions but I think they overdue it. Why you ask? Reason being,I didn't want to order anything because I felt like it might go on some sort of sale or prmotion a week later...In my opinion, they are hurting themselves with customers that have already done business with them when they keep doing this..It's great for them when you are a new customer like I was once..I bought bunch of stuff and paid full price only to find out that I was a sucker and should have waited. Now I wait but it seems that I never pull the trigger with them anymore for the fear of paying too much...I bought the G110 V2 from ADS for the same price as AG has advertised..ADS charged shipping but threw in a free buffing pad..I apologize for the long post but I'm wondering if anyone else feel the same...AG will not get any business from me anymore for the fact that I don't like their business practices and this 3 week delivery for the buffer that they have in stock is a perfect example...

I understand how you feel man. I think with AG and the G110 youre talking about is possibly they don't have in stock at all. However, they want you to think they always carry everything and are on time with everything so you they say "In Stock" to get your purchase but in reality they still may be waiting on things to come in because it would otherwise be more of a hassle to refund your money since not alot of people carry all the junk they carry anyway.

I can't wait to see how robust the v2 is. I hope you get it soon man

I went to the AG web site and says 2 to 3 weeks so my guess is they are taking advance orders but I do not know for sure.

They do run a lot of sales promotions.

for it to take that long to ship .They maybe drop shipping directly from Meguiars.I also notice it still is selling at the pre-order price. How about giving Meghan or Dwayne a call I'm sure they will answer any questions you may .Have reguarding this issue

I already ordered it from ADS...The people that work there are great but as mentioned earlier, I don't like their business practices...I will post you guys the link for the foam canon and you tell me what you think...If they don't have something in stock, why are they showing it in stock..When ADS didn't have it, they were taking pre-orders and showing it as such...They showed it in stock when I checked on Friday and I orderd it and got a shipping notification from UPS the same day...This is just one thing that pisses me off about the company, not the people that work for it....I just feel liker a sucker by buying the things that I bought from them..Not because someone else had it cheaper, but becasue they had or were going to have it cheaper very soon...I would have rather paid more somewhere else. Psychologically speaking, you feel like you got screwed...I will not order anything from them for the simple fact that they might let you know you paid too much for something a week after you buy it...They just do it way too much and unless you are on their site constantly, you are going to get screwed as a new customer.

    Thanks for the input guys,

You know, you really can't blame AG for their promotions and specials. They aren't cheating you or taking advantage of you. No one's forcing you to make your purchases but yourself. It's really about learning how to not pull the trigger on detailing purchases when there are no promotions.

As a detailer and consumer, I've learned to wait for specials when it comes to making purchases. Sales and promotions are done to attract new customers and repeat customers. Also, it's not like any of the detailing purchases we make are a necessity to life so there really is no haste to make these purchases.

Keep in mind this is all normal to the market of businesses. Everyone has sales (for the most part) and no one can really anticipate exactly when the sales will be. However, a great rule of thumb is to wait for holidays for holiday specials. I hope this all makes sense and gives a different perspective of the matter.

    To Denzil:

I would have to disagree...I know about sales and promotions...However, when it is happening on a constant basis, it loses its credibility...How do I know that they won't have a sale on this polisher next week..I understand what they are doing but all I can tell you is I don't want to buy anything from them because they might have a sale on it soon...Most places refund you the difference of an item that you buy if they lower the price within the first 30 days of your purchase....I consider myself a smart shopper and I do look for the best prices. I buy alot of crap all the time and have all my credit cards's information memorized and can order from anywhere anytime...AG is the only place that I have bought stuff from where I felt like I didn't get my moneys worth....Wouldn't you be pissed if you bought Fuzion two weeks ago for $175 and then a week later they were selling it for $99...If I go to Guess to buy clothes, the people working there let you know if there is a sale coming very soon...We are not talking about the holidays either....If they keep getting more customers from having sales, that is great for them...I just have become too gunshy with them because I felt like I got burned on some deals. Or let me rephrase for you, " I burned myself". But at the end of the day, I won't be doing it with them anymore...Sales should have some sort of value to them....If people that shop their site know that Souveran is going to be going on BOGO on a regular basis and wait to buy it, then why not just have it priced for $50 all the time, instead of $95....To me, it looks like they are looking for suckers and they are taking a shot in the meantime....

    To Kustomizingkid:
Yes, I have both Vintage and Royale....

Does it really? If it's on a constant basis, I think it's safe to say that their rather predictable about our sales. A lot of us on DB have recognized that they have Souveran on a BOGO offer pretty often.
That's the thing, no one really knows but at least you know they'll have a sale... just gotta play the waiting game. Plus AG is not the only place that does this, Detailed Image also does this as well.
That's perfectly fine, no one's holding you to it. If you understand what they're doing, then you know their system pretty well.
Yeah well that's "most" places. Not everyone does it nor is everyone obligated to implement this policy in their business. You're a smart shopper, order a bunch of stuff and can order anywhere/anytime, so why not make purchases when there are sales?
That's totally fine to feel that way.
Nope, I actually wouldn't because purchasing Fuzion at $175 really isn't worth it but if it's at $99, I may consider it.
I reiterate what I mentioned earlier, some companies do it and some don't. Every company is not obligated to do this. Also, I understand about being too gunshy and that is where patience pays off. I also wouldn't go so far to say that you burned yourself but rather it's just a result of the circumstances.
    That's totally fine.
I think sales in themselves have value... we save money from having to pay the full retail value. The people that regularly shop AG's site know that Souveran goes on BOGO somewhat fairly regularly and for those that know that, they wait until it does before they purchase anything else. That's how AG markets their products and they aren't required to always meet the demands of every customer. Looking for suckers? Seems like a poor choice of words for their BOGO deal which AG shoppers know happens on a fairly "regular" basis.

I guess we can agree to disagree...However, most people would be pissed off to buy something at full price $175 only to see it for $99 a week or so later...You don't want to use the Fuzion as an example, fine..Use something that you like and then tell me how it would make you feel...Are they at fault? Absolutely not., it is their business practice...The point I'm trying to make is that you can be patient an buy something from them only to see it being sold for even less a week later...How do you ever know you are getting the best deal possible? Let me give you a scenario....You buy Fuzion at 15% discount on black friday, thinking you took advantage of a sale...You then see it for $99 a week later and realize you could have saved more money or used that money to buy something else from them....Can someone else chime in here please and understand what I'm saying...The $175 price is just some arbitrary number..It means nothing when every other week it's being sold for 20% off or 15% off or BOGO or $99...To get the best deal by having patience, you would be waiting forever because they keep selling it at a different price...It's whoring out the product...If you want something bad enough, you buy it. If it happens to go on sale, oh well...In my opinion, they do it so much that the original asking price has no merit to it...Why even ask $175 for a wax that is never being sold for that price? I surf the websites of the few big names selling detailing products constantly...I can tell you that I have never seen so many prices being thrown around on a constant basis from any one company...Sure, they have sales and when you buy something from them, you know you did okay...With AG, you never know because of what they do on a constant basis....Hopefully, I got my point across....You can shop there and that's your choice but I won't and that is my choice...

I have recently ordered the Griots DA from AG and the Megs g100v2 from ADS. I'm happy with the service from both shippers . I am a tightwad and try and bargan hunt price to make my few dollars go further. I wish I could be loyal to just one seller but don't have unlimited funds. I make these purchases knowing that no matter how cheap you find something , somebody has it cheaper. Thats just life. As far a a product going on sale after the purchase at AG , contacting Megan or Wayne would most likely solve this problem to your satisfaction. They seem to always go the extra mile. Paul S

Thank you for your input...I understand that someone might have something cheaper and that is what being a good shopper is all about...The point that I'm trying to make is that they just keep throwing their prices around and you never know if you are getting a good deal from them or not. To me, their prices mean nothing and depending on the day of the week, something like a $175 wax can be either $148.75 or $140.00 or $99.0 or $87.50.....They are whoring out their products and prices...It's one thing buying something and wondering if someone else had a better deal on it...However, there just seems something wrong about buying something from someone and wondering if they have or are going to have a better price on it....Maybe I'm the oddball here, but I can not do business like that...I'm not cheap but I will shop around on the internet....I just don't like it when an item never seems to have a real price to it by the SAME SELLER....

It does have a real price, but different sale prices. Like others have stated, wait till you know there is going to be a sale...like holidays. In the case of AG it's like every other month. Like anything you buy...Buyer Beware!!

Just looked on their site and Fuzion is $129 today....So tell me when it's ever $175?????What is the real price of this wax? $175? $148? $140? $129? $99? $87? Does anyone not understand the point I am trying to make....Sales are great, don't get me wrong but this just doesn't seem right to me...It should be $175 all the time and then on sale for whatever the hell...This to me is ridiculous...I have been on their site on a regular basis for the past six months and have always seen it for a different price either on sale or by 10% or 15% or 20% sales....You are right about buyer beware but to me it's not right....There should be some sort of price integrity in an item that although only $175, is considered luxury for the simple fact that it is supposed to be boutique or high end wax....They are constantly playing with their prices on pretty much everything...This is a fact that you can see by following their website and forum on a regular basis and I HAVE followed it on a daily basis to see...I just can't believe that no one else is bothered by it...As for me, they will not get any of my money anymore...Nothing against the people that work there....

    BimmerSean,

Perhaps try to adjust your point of view for a moment. What do YOU feel Fuzion is worth, given it's performance characteristics? Shine, depth, slickness, longevity, ease/pleasantness of use, etc. vs. what YOU would consider the wax's closest competition in the LSP market.

Once YOU assign a monetary worth to the product (for sake of argument, let's say you conclude $100), then you should be happy to buy it whenever it's available for $100 or less. And be unwilling to purchase it at a level above that. Period.

You can apply this approach to anything you purchase - from something as simple as wax, to pricier items like consumer electronics, to vehicles, etc. You just might find it a refreshing change from constantly stressing over if you got the very best deal down to the penny...

You're upset at the fact that they constantly have sales? You do realize that the DP, Pinnacle and Wolfgang line is all their line. If they decide to have sales on certain items every now and then whats wrong with that? Look at all the other venders that offer the pinnacle, DP and Wolfgang line. You dont ever seen them drop the prices for sales like AG does. You certainly take if for granted. Every company constantly run sales to attract new and old customers. Since you've been there for a while you should know to wait for a sale on a particular item and if you dont that is your own fault. You can be mad if its your job to find the best deals. No company is going to spoon feed you and tell you what items will be on sale in the future.

Plus AG's Price match keeps most people there. I love their price match and if there is no sale I price match another competitors sale like Autopia's up coming 30% off + free shipping sale. You just have to be smart and not so trigger happy.

I buy things when I want them regardless of how much they are...I will however look on a couple of websites to see who has the better price...I don't however wait to see how low something can go before I buy it.I don't have the patience and I want things when I want them....Everything that I bought from AG was bought becasue that's when I wanted them regardless of the price...However, it pisses me off when I see it for less a week later at the same merchant..And yes, I know about buyer beware. I am now aware. As for what I think Fuzion is worth? I don'k know, since I hadn't used it until I bought it..I guess I am relying on AG that they are selling a product worthy of what they are asking or want for it...I am fine with that and I'll buy it...I'll buy it because the $175 is WORTH THE TRY for me not because I think the wax is worth $175....IAfter I use it, then things are different...i may think that it is better than my Royale and worth every penny or that it sucks and isn't even worth the cost of shipping it. I guess what you are saying is that the reason it has been priced at 6 or 7 different price points is that they are trying to capture all the different customers that think the wax is worth what they want for it that particular time...This entire post has now gotten really annoying and too philosophical....The simple fact of the matter is that I don't agree with a business practice of constantly selling and advertising an item for different prices on a regular basis...One day up and the next day down...It has nothing to do with what the item is really worth..I call it whoring out the brand but maybe there is a more professional business term for it....I will not buy from them again because of that simple fact, not becasue I'm worried that I paid $10 more for my wax....I hope I was able to clarify my situation for you....

As far as I'm concerned, I think it's great that the price point they sell it at is any point below the advertised price...

I think what I have made in bold/red in your original quote is where your problem and faulty logic lies.

Sorry but I still disagree and there is nothing wrong with my logic....I am not saying that I am an impulse buyer, although I can be from time to time...I have been buying stuff on the net for years. I can't think of any other place that can have 7 different prices on the same item within a short time period unless they keep reducing the price of an item to get rid of it....This is not the case with AG..The price goes down, then up and then down and then down again.....Again, nothing wrong with sales but this is just ridiculous if you ask me.....

Sean, you have a point, but AG is the largest on line retailer of detailing supplies and if you don't like their marketing you can shop else where. I happen to like AG and though I shop with other vendors...most of my purchases is with AG. They have great customer service and sometimes that is worth more than a few bucks saved. I too have bought an item only to find a week or two later its on sale... such is life. I don't feel that I have been screwed because I bought it earlier. I too have spent a lot of money thru the years cause first of all I can and I enjoy trying out new products. I'm in no way in your league, Concorso is the most I'll pay for a wax, but I enjoy it as much as you do. As one guy on a forum was asked why does he spend so much money and his answer was that he works hard and sometimes need a break so he goes on line and buys things he really doesn't need, but it's like Christmas when the UPS truck delivers his package. This gives him enjoyment. So shop with other vendors and continue to enjoy yourself.
