So I was doing an ONR wash yesterday, and I now exclusively use Justin's (ragshack) Shag Rags with great results. I don't bother trying to clean the towel when it gets soiled, I just exchange for a new one. It probably takes 4-5 towels or so to do a sedan. Anyways, previously I had used a laundry hamper to throw the towels in, then take them inside after to soak them before washing. I had an idea while I was out there in the garage. Why wait until after everything is done to start soaking towels? Why let all that stuff dry/cake on there? I mean, when I polish, I have a 5 gallon bucket with snappy clean solution for every time I switch pads, I throw the soiled one in the solution to start loosening up the polish residue. So I ran inside, grabbed another bucket, and filled it with about 3 gallons of water, and a few splashes of Microrestore. It can't hurt anything, and it could quite possibly extend the life of the towels since harmful chemicals are diluted faster from the towel's surface this way. Thoughts? Good idea? Waste of time?
Wash Towels after use Always wash towels as soon as possible after use, the longer they sit the more the contaminants will set. The chemicals used in car care products will negatively affect the fibres structural integrity and weaken them, shortening their useful life. Residual chemicals will cause streaking, whereas dried chemicals will cause scratches. Do not use bleach or high alkaline cleaning products as they will shorten the life of your micro fibre. Read the label on the detergent bottle and use half of what they recommend and use hot water (120.oF)
That is the same thing I do pretty much with MF and my pads. When I remove wax I use a few MFs and throw them into a bucket with some DP Pad Cleaner, same thing as snappy pad cleaner, or TC Citrus Wash so stat breaking down the wax/sealant on the MFs. I also throw pads into a bucket after using them so start removing the polish from the pads so after doing the car cleaning the pads is pretty trivial and easy. Dont see any harm in doing so and have not seen any negative side effects of it.
any place to buy in bulk on the mf towels ? like 10 to 20? LOL maybe thats not bulk ! I just pay to watch her detail! : )

Serge..do you like those? It looks like a great deal..I wonder how much shipping is...that's where they get you I think is their shipping charges. I gotta check it out.
shipping from them isn't bad...it usually costs a lot if you order a lot in gallons...I think they actually charge you what it costs to ship. But I really like that towel, at $1.50 you cannot lose...I have 2 dozens of those...take my word for it, Richy, you are gonna like them.
They look the same. I'd still rather give Justin my business (as long as he puts them on that excellent 2.35 sale again!) Hopefully he puts Super Fly's on sale again too for that price. I'm going to order from him again once I get my taxes back.
