    Press Release from Adam's:

    Adam's Green Wheel Cleaner

Our 'Eco-Friendly' wheel cleaner is tough on dirt, gentle on your wheels, and easy on the environment. It's a true, blue American solution to a green problem!

Adam's GREEN Wheel Cleaner is a 100% water-based cleaner that safely and effectively cleans tires and all types of wheels!

Adam's GREEN Wheel Cleaner takes advantage of new breakthroughs in chemical engineering, creating a new class of non-ionic cleaner that does not release harmful zwitterions. Adam's GREEN Wheel Cleaner quickly and safely cleans tires and all types of wheels including clear coated, painted, aluminum, polished and anodized. The active ingredient in this cleaner was developed in America to replace the acids, butyl and butyl ethers found in most tire and wheel cleaning products, which have been proven harmful to both wheels and nature.

It's an unfortunate fact that most wheel cleaners made and sold in America contain butyl or butyl ether. Although butyl is a highly effective cleaner, as well as inexpensive, it is harmful to man and the environment. Plus, butyl will white-stain aluminum and damage clear coated wheels and powder coating finishes. Butyl is also very harsh on your skin, causes respiratory distress when inhaled, and it is not readily biodegradable.

Adam's GREEN Wheel Cleaner contains no butyl or petroleum distillates! Plus, our new GREEN Wheel Cleaner biodegrades 98% in less than 24 hours, protecting our surface waters from polluted storm drain runoff.

Adam's GREEN Wheel Cleaner is a 100% water-based cleaner! It contains no no petroleum distillates, no acids, and no butyl of any kind. It is 100% safe for use on tires and all wheel finishes including polished aluminum and clear coats. With light agitation, Adam's GREEN Wheel Cleaner quickly and safely removes all dirt, road oils, and brake dust without harming you wheels, the environment or you!.

Adam's GREEN Wheel Cleaner is not a spray-on, hose-off cleaner. Our GREEN Wheel Cleaner requires agitation with a brush, sponge or wash mitt to break the initial bond between the dirt and the wheel. Spray-on, hose-off type wheel cleaners are harsh, acid based cleaners that damage wheels over time. Adam's GREEN Wheel Cleaner will never harm your wheels or the environment!

    Price:
    $9.95 for 16 oz
    $34.95 for gallons

So... How does this stuff work? How does it compare to P21s wheel gel?

Finally a solution! My neighbors were complaining about the zwitterions, and they were destroying my lawn. My dog even ran away. I almost quit detailing for good. THANK YOU ADAM'S!!

    Phil,

Have you tested the Adam's Green Wheel Cleaner on anodized aluminum or chrome wheels? I used them on my friend's Volks which have black chrome centers and anodized aluminum drums - the AGWC left a strange white 'stain' on the anodized portions. It does not come off with other wheel cleaners. Any thoughts?

sorry I haven't I used them on some audi wheels that i had cleaned up and installed back on and they worked well.

I have been told they work well on all, if that happened were the wheels warm?

did you rinse the wheels first?
did you let the wheel cleaner sit or did you brush and rinse?

They were barely warm to the touch. He only drove from his house to mine which is is literally 2 minutes driving.

Wheels were not rinsed first, and the cleaner was sprayed on all four wheels, then agitated, sat for a few minutes, then rinsed off thoroughly.

I used the cleaner at the same time on my Audi wheels and had no problems whatsoever.

    :shead:

I've used both P21S and Chemical Guys Sticky Gel with great results. Basically we just wanted to test the AGWC to see how it worked.

I believe the directions stated to rinse the wheels off first.

I'm going to have to say that had something to do with it.

to remove the stains I would use some polish and clean them up.

I used the AGWC on 4 sets of wheels this weekend, all with light to moderate brake dust, all OEM wheels ('08 Tundra, '09 Accord, '09 TSX, '02 TLtS).

This stuff works great on the wheels, tires and wells. I'm incredibly happy with the product.

I maintain if the wheel is REALLY bad, I think the P21s may be the better solution, but for your normal maintenance wash, this is a great product. I sprayed the wheels with water, applied the AGWC on all 4, went back with the boars hair brush and SW Wheel brush (Soaked in my wash water, Adams Car Wash) and agitated. Everything cleaned up super nice and easy.

    Great product!

My only question is how does it affect the wax/sealant on wheels?

I'm sure like 90% or more of the wheel cleaners will strip some if not all the wax/sealant
