here are the brushes we offer. Brushes at Detailer's Domain our top sellers are the uber boar's hair brush, swissvax wheel brush, uber leather brush
Get the Swissvax Detail brush. $15 might sound like a lot for a single brush, but I love that brush. Perfect for interior cleaning. It does smell a little bit when you get it wet, but that's the nature of the hairs of the brush. And get the the top three brushes as Phil pointed out.
You MUST get the Raceglaze XL brush for doing the barrel of the wheels!! Hands down about the best damn brush for that.
Its overkill but I used marine varnish on handles of my SV brushes. The unprotected wood gets messed up,and for the price I like to keep them a while. And yes the raceglaze brushes aree fantastic as well,I think I have a dozen or so LOL
Brushes I have in my kit that get used alot: http://www.detailersdomain.com/EZ-Detail-Brush_p_637.html http://www.detailersdomain.com/Swissvax-Leather-Brush_p_166.html A Target brand version of this brush. Very similar is style and feel, but the handle is plastic. Target advertises it for paint, but I use it for wheels, tires, and fenders. http://www.detailersdomain.com/Uber-Wheel-Well-and-Fender-Brush_p_121.html 3 of these. One for wheels, one for exterior trim, and one for interiors http://www.detailedimage.com/DI-Brushes-M51/Boars-Hair-Detailing-Brush-P565/ And a nice set of these. They're not very durable, but if you're gentle with them, they will last. http://www.detailedimage.com/Lake-Country-M7/Detailing-Stick-P590/
^^ can you compare the Swiss leather brush to the uber? the SV looks bigger but the bristols look more FIRM.. LOL i fail at describing
lol well I actually have the uber brush, but I couldn't find a link to it. (Don't know if Detailers Domain still carries it) But the Uber brush has very short, mildly stiff bristles. lol I don't know how well that describes it.
SV leather brush is too small IMO, I have one......... Wish it was twice the size, but it gets the job done
Swissvax brush works great, I'll agree to taping it up, the red brush cover broke the first time I used it
im a noob myself and i got a chance to work on my honda a bit this past weekend. I will say the swissvax type detailing brush is a must, can be any brand really, they work great for exterior during wash and decon and had another for interior, gets all the dust and crud out of EVERYWHERE haha. They are wonderful. I have one crap one I bought from auto zone and two better ones that I ordered from Chemical Guys, they work wonders. I also used adams interior carpet brush and leather brush, both very effective and really get in there. Barely used the leather brush but it made those hard to reach places almost impossible so maybe another brush like the one mentioned is better for that stuff.
I like the one phil sells, it has a handle on it, but Im not replacing this one till it breaks. Biggest issue with the SV brushes wood handle, bad decsion, but if you dip it in deck stain it protects it plastic retaining (red part) cracks best detailing brush Ive used.......... and it has outlasted my SV brushes are these http://www.autodetailingsolutions.net/85-802.html
