After been working 5 yrs here in Brazil and tired of paying rent finally this yr my wife and i decided to build a detailing studio since my 2 shops are mainly car wash type we r looking to buy but it has to be around 200 to 250 square meters we wanted small but with a perfect set up with a wash bay so if u have pictures of ur working places

I'd love to help you out but I just work out of my garage. Having said that, I have 4 400 watt CFL's that put out wicked light...they actually hurt your eyes to look at them. I want to get some of those new flourescent bulbs but need to replace my balasts to do it so I'll wait till I see them go on sale. Lighting is so important but that can be changed when you get a place. Drainage is important too. happy hunting bud!

Where'd you get the 400 watt CFL's? I just picked up a work lamp with a 200 watt CFL in it and want to upgrade the bulb. I'll post some pics of my shop for you Billy. Can also send a drawing for you if you'd like.

Ken..I mis-spoke. I just checked the link (here) and I see that it's 105W CFL which is equivalent to 400W incandescent. It's 12 inches long and has a 4 inch diameter..they're big bulbs and very bright. What I like is the 6500 colour temperature too..it's like sunshine for checking your work. They come from Chicago and are packed really well.
